Long story short, EBC through link was working fine. Then car was down for a few months rebuilding trans and having O2 housing redone. Couldn't get more than spring pressure 16psi so I threw in a mbc yesterday and am now able to increase boost. I'd like to use the EBC through link. It's IR 3 port btw. Is there a way to trigger power to the connector?
 
Also, is there a way to bench test IR 3 port? And is it a 12v circuit?
The IR air solenoid provided by Ecmtuning has two wires. A +12v run to power and a ground run to the ecu pin so the ecu can round it as needed. You can test it on a bench by applying 12v across the two wires. The polarity doesn't matter here. I'd first check with a meter or test light thst 12v is being supplied to the solenoid. Then boost leak test to ensure there isn't a leak in the boost source lines. You could manually apply 12v on the solenoid in the car to check the down stream boost lines during this test, assuming the solenoid hasn't gone bad. Another check would be to ohm the two leads and see if there is an open, (infinite resistance). That would indicate an electrically faulted solenoid.

If you want to check the solenoid open/close function, just supply 12v to one side and one side would be grounded, polarity does not matter as @llxkevinxll mentioned above. and yes you can apply some air pressure to see if the valve is fully opened/closed physically.
According to ECMLink site it's 28-33 Ohms resistance. Should check it.

If you are going to boost leak test it, just plumb it up exactly like ecmlink's site shows. Apply pressure for the boost leak test like normal. Test with the solenoid in both states, engaged and disengaged. When engaged, it should send pressurized air to the top gate port, check for leaks at this time as this is where you are seeing your issue. When disengaged, it should not send pressure to the top port. WG top port is connected to atmosphere through the third, open solenoid port when the solenoid is at rest. Also a good time to check if yours is backwards from described above as a solenoid failure in that configuration means all the boost instead of a safety net of defaulting to gate spring pressure.
 
Got 12v at the harness and resistance is good on the solenoid. Found one of the wires I extended was open. Thanks guys!!

I experienced an issue likes this twice now in the last two years. We just recently fixed this issue but fixed it by mistake AGAIN. Because that limited boost was Brutal.

Please post your resolution when found.

I found it, see the first pic. There’s a break in the sub harness I made. It ran from the stock location under the air filter, under the radiator, to behind the drivers headlight where I mounted the ebc. Haven’t driven it yet since the roads are still wet but I will tomorrow.
