Hey everyone I just picked up a knocking 1g 4g63 N/A Im going to need everyones help figuring this girl out well Ill try and upload some pictures of the car soon I hope I can lean in everyone for help.

If its knocking, it would suggest dropping in running 4turbo.
But were all here to help, so get the questions comin new guy. Ohh and welcome.

Has the previous owner done any work to the car prior to it knocking or even after it started.? Is it throwing any codes and what location on the engine is the knock coming from.?(Is it from the valve cover or head or does it sound lower.?)

Also, what have you done so far to try and diagnose for the issue or what maintenance have you done for the car so far.? And stupid question but what condition is the oil in and are the fluid levels good while we’re on the topic.?

hey guys it was the rod bearings Im not sure the exact numbering of cylinders but the one next to the timing and the second from the trans both bearing were done the oil pan is a mess and i dont think anyone has maintained the car in years, but the hood has some carbon wrap and aftermarket rims.. about the fluids the clutch reservoir is black theres some issues with this car

Yikes.! I’m sorry to hear that dude.! So with that being said, might be best to just tear it all down and do a rebuild on it.!

yeah thats my goal a long term rebuild daily driver maybe 350-400 hp nice interior
