Figured I post this just to get a feel for how you guys would fix this.

I’ve got an annoying issue where my Intercooler piping keeps popping out of its clamps. Specifically around where the air filter/fuse box is located, just in front of the passenger tire. Between the top and middle hose clamp is where it keeps coming undone (Second picture). Seriously driving me nuts.

Every time it happens it throws my car into limp mode. I gotta pull over and clamp it back together just to have it pop out either 5 miles or 50 miles again. Super annoying.

Not anything critical, just something I’d like to deal with once and for all. Spare myself the headache.

Just curious as to how you guys would go about fixing it.

I had a similar situation just that I'm using a Hahn SMIC with CX racing intercooler piping...the piping from the intercooler to the air filter area did not line up properly with the piping from the air filter/fuse box region, so the straight coupling did not work for connecting the two. I ended up ordering a long 60 degree coupler and cut it so that there was about 2" of coupler covering each end of the piping. I then put on two t-bolt clamps.

It works but I'd much rather find someone that can fab up the lower pipe so it lines up properly with the upper pipe and I can use a straight coupler.

What type of piping is that on the top?

Being completely honest with you, I've got no idea. It's just a crappy plastic pipe that's been the bane of my IC system since I bought the car.

Is your hard pipe coupled to a plastic pipe?

Yep, and I hate it haha
I'm gonna upgrade it sooner or later.
