....unless you automatically get the stands and jack out because you heard a noise while driving home. Don't pop the hood first, just get the stands because you know you will need them.

Gary your answer was great. I knew almost all of them. Honestly I would like to hear about E.

One more.....unless you can't stand the fact that hardware store metric bolts have 13mm heads. Consequently you have a 5 gallon bucket of hardware scrounged from multiple partouts and refuse to let hardware store bolts on the car.

B) Lower headlight bolt removal: A long and short 1/4" extension separated by a u-joint, patience, and a lot of trying. And 2 big screwdrivers holding the bumper crack under the assembly open far enough to get the extension in. And an inspection mirror strategically held to see the bolt (to get the socket and bolt on) since you can't see it being under the light assembly.

Forgot to loosen the water pump pulley bolts before you take off all of the belts, or did Gary cover that too??? :)

Honestly I would like to hear about E.
E) The generator relay is a backup in case the dash charge light is burned out (that connection is needed to provide voltage to the alt field coil, otherwise alt doesn't work). It's actually not a relay but a series connected diode and resistor which are connected in parallel with the dash light. A Mitsu mechanic told me on some 99's (mine) and all 2000 and later models Mitsu did away with it. I have no idea why it gets destroyed so often. It's next to the boost control solenoid so I'm thinking perhaps people just smash into it trying to wiggle the tranny out.

Would also love to hear about D and E @luv2rallye haven't had a problem with my skateboard bearings yet?
D) The skateboard bearing mod replaces the tranny end shifter cable rubber bushings. It stiffens the shift response greatly and gives a more "definite" feedback that it's in gear. I used it for many years. But with using bearings instead of rubber bushings there's no give/leeway to account for if the tranny fork doesn't want to normally ride (no sideways force) in the center of the synchronizer sleeve groove (which mine apparently didn't). So if the fork is not in the center or has sideways force, it can rub against the sleeve groove edge (can be forced with hard bearings that have no give) and wear the fork down. Wearing it down far enough (see "width worn" pic) causes the gear to popout since it never completely pushed the sync ring all the way onto the gear engagement teeth (https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/popping-out-of-4th-gear.290238/#post-151566175). This kept happening to me over and over and took many years to figure out (and 3 tranny rebuilds done myself, each with a worn down shift fork).

Unless you have a DSM in the garage broken, telling yourself it'll drive again one day, but still believe it won't because life gets in the way....

Unless you tell yourself you're done with your current DSM and will never buy another, yet you continue bitching at the car anyway...... and buy another one for more punishment.

your driving around and your 4g63 acts up in any way and you fix the problem in less than 5 minutes...its happened a few times to me

I’ll play along, LOL

You're not a true DSM'er unless you currently have a DSM that isn’t running because of reasons undetermined yet but are actively trolling the For Sale section and Craigslist for deals on performance parts instead of making fixing the car your priority

I know I’m not the only one, LOL

Story of my life for the last few years, u said it perfectly.
Driveway queen with the above to mention.LOL

Keep it coming fam, I'm loving these.

You're not a true DSM'er unless you have 10 sets of metric sockets but only (1) 10mm. Funny story.. I bought my 10th over Christmas from Home Dept in a fancy clamshell case and somehow my GF managed to knock it over and all rolled accross my garage. Guess which of the 50 sockets I've yet to find. :banghead:

Your not a true DSM'er unless you keep looking at bigger turbos even though you haven't got your current setup dialed in properly yet.

Lets have some fun while most people are are home! :p
Fill in the blank with your favorite saying!!!!
I can't wait to see what this brings out ROFL
You're not a true DSMer unless....
