So good updates: got the new oil cooler positioning done. Just have to wait for some more things to come together so I can start laying out line routing. Got delivery of my amazing new Archer Fab manifold. The quality is what you'd expect from a handmade piece from a guy that loves what he does. Also, received my new Xona Rotor 5757S. It's CONSIDERABLY smaller than my old turbo. But I have to remind myself that turbo technology is light years ahead of when I bought my old Garrett turbo something like 14 years ago. Very excited to see the response from it. I shift at 7K RPM so I think we should have very usable HP and torque the vast majority of the RPM range. Very excited to get this combo on the car and tested out. Also picked up a couple splitter diffusers from Professional Awesome Racing for the splitter project I'm working on. And got the exhaust wrapped up nice and tight. And some supplies from Speedway arrived for the Making the oil line setup I want to do. So, a little progress everyday. No time table on getting back on track, so just gonna keep plugging away on the car like Global Time Attack in May is happening. But all the events in that time frame have been postponed, so I feel like GTA will be as well. We will see.

On a side note, I hope everyone by everyone on here is safe and healthy during this crazy time. I was at first pretty upset about racing put on hold for the foreseeable future, but then I realized that there's a time for racing, and then there's a time for taking care of each other. We'll go racing and have a blast when the time is right and people are safe.

Looks like you have been getting a lot of work done lately. That new turbo looks awesome, curious to see how that works out for you.

Those coilovers don't have spherical top hats?

No. No spherical hats. As much as I told KSport they need to have them, they didn't wanna hear it. I even sent them pics and video of the spring moving around going lock to lock. Eventually I'll have to build something that works with them. And in the future go to a proper Feal coilover that's done right.

I did something similar this off season. Used DGs upper hat design and made my own upper spring perches. You could do something similar to what I have done.

@gsxitement , BC Racing also sells spherical top hats but I had to work with @ec17pse to get a set from the UK due to BC Racing USA not wanting to sell them to me. They are literally a 1 for One replacement of the regular top hats, but they refused to sell them because they didn't think it was a real issue.

Do you know what the shaft diameter is for those? I could order ones from KSport I think, but the shafts are bigger and I'd have to make a spacer for inside the bearing.

Got more if the car together, just to take it back apart. Luckily, the downpipe fits perfect. Have to make a new dump tube though. Also have to clock the turbo and see where the charge pipe sits so I can do the oil cooler lines since they go right by the charge pipe. But coming along. Today, April 4th, was supposed to be the season opener for EMRA at Lime Rock. But clearly, that has been postponed. Expecting the Road Atlanta GTA event to be postponed any day now. So, I'm taking my time and making sure the car is the way I want it.

@gsxitement

Shaft diameter is ~0.491-0496 inches in diameter. The variance is from navigating around the dust book and the spring while it’s installed on the car.

Hope that helps!

EDIT: I meant to include some pics to show you how they look installed on the BC ER coilovers. FYI, you will lose a little bit of travel.

Think I figured out the oil cooler line situation. Decided to clock my sandwich plate and run it like that. The cooler ports when from the 6 o'clock position to the 3 o'clock position. Gave me much better line of sight to the oil cooler lines. Got the return from the cooler done with the the T for the accusump in place. Probably going to take the 90° fitting off and go to a straight fitting and route the hose along the intercooler pipe. And obviously have it heat wrapped with a barrier to try and keep any heat transfer down. Moving along. Still have to make up a new wastegate dump tube. Might try and see if it'll drive under it's own power this weekend if I can make up the dump. No way I could stay out of boost. Wanna see how responsive this turbo is.

More progress last night. Was tired of how my turbo gets water. So I modified my crossover tube. Since the heater core is gone, I chopped that pipe short. I happened to have a steel -6 cap that I drilled through to make a fitting. Then I rewrapped some worn areas of gold foil. Also made a new return tube for the turbo. And I routed my accusump hose against the block to make things neater. Getting there.

First off:

Just wanted to say I hope everyone reading this is safe and healthy as are your loved ones. Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can get back to our normal lives.

Got a lot of work done recently. Got to drive the car around on Sunday. The new turbo flows so much more air even at idle, that a retune is beyond needed LOL. But it was good enough just to take up and down my street. Trying to figure out a cold air box or something since this new tube is shorter than the old setup. So another project on the to do list. Also GTA announced that the Road America event was pushed to July 2-4 so that should be fun. Very excited. Tryi g to figure out how to shake the car down.
