i have a 10 gal in the spare tire well.

what ohm's is the factory fuel level unit, so i can buy an aftermarket fuel level unit one for my fuel cell.

what are the wires i should use? back of cluster or straight off the harness by the oem fuel pump plug/harness

i starter this thread due to lack of information i could find on the ohms of the oem fuel level unit, as well as the wiring.
if anybody knows where to find this i will be more then happy to read and figure it out myself.

but if you know simply, ex 0-50ohm fuel level unit. and wire (color) off the harness/cluster you would be the best :thumb:

If you just had 1 sender in the tank (like the FWD does), 4-112 ohms would do it (4=full).

The factory GSX however had 2 senders in the tank, one for each side which were connected in series. The drivers side was 2-50 ohms and passenger 2-57 ohms (so in series they add up to 4-107 ohms). I describe its wiring here: https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/fuel-level-gauge-not-working-after-new-pump.332584/#post-151830828. To use your wiring you could just short out one of the two sender harness connections (replace sender pins with a wire) and use a 4-112 ohm sender (or as close as you can find) for the other.

They make programmable fuel level gauges where you set the ohm range yourself for full to empty. That'd prob be your best bet for getting one to work with the stock gauge.
Here's a link to a bunch of that type. https://www.summitracing.com/search...type/fuel-level/sender-ohm-range/programmable

He wants to use the factory gauge, so those won't work. However there are a few components out there that let you program between any sending unit and gauge, factory or aftermarket, as long as it's a 12 negative ground resistance based system. Couple links below.
