I pulled my dash and the foam that surrounds the a/c vents is shot. The adhesive is non-existent and it just fell out of place. What would you guys suggest for sealing this up when I put the dash back together??

Go to a camper sales place and get the foam tape that is used to put between truck caps and the truck bed maybe?

I'd imagine this would make the dash removal extremely difficult and likely break things if I ever had to pull the dash again..

This is what I used the last time I had my dash out. Haven’t had it out since though.

3/8 in. x 17 ft. Foam Weatherstrip Tape

This looks to be the way to go...

Mcmaster-carr has all sorts of foam rolls with adhesive, so if you don't fine what you like at home depot or lowes you can order something from there that should do the trick.

This is exactly what I've used in the past. I can say first hand that after a bit of time, it too shifts like the oem seals do, but not as bad since it's not 20+ years old. The design itself is shit. But as for using this to at least get new material in there, it works. I never really did notice any real change in air pressure though, if that's something you're looking for too.

I also did that piece, top and bottom, and both ends of every hvac vent tube, for every piece in the dash, under the dash, and in the doors.
