Hey guys thanks for the add new to dsms so will be here alot need some help on a ecu issue i have a md166263 i can get a md166262 will this work any help will be greatly appreciated

The only difference is the California emissions stuff in the 263 that isn't in the 262. Should be a direct swap. See this thread for more info..........

I understand. The only difference is emissions for Cali.

When you get a chance, post up some pictures of your car and fill out a profile so we know what model you have and don't have to ask. How did you end up with a California car and live in Virginia, ??
