Haha I’ve already contemplated that LOL, for simplicity for one but I’m too committed now and I gotta try it, if it turns out to be a terrible decision you’ll know LOL

So yesterday I started the teardown:hellyeah: I forgot how much I love wrenching on things in the garage away from everything else, anyways I’m excited to see how the bearings look. After I pulled the head off their were areas on the head gasket with oil and coolant, not sure if that was from me lifting the head off or if the gasket was starting to let go:hmm: The car wasn’t pushing ANY coolant or burning any oil when I shut her down but who knows.

Actually it’s Stereo+Beer+Engine stand LOL, the coffee can has all my random nuts/bolts:hellyeah:
He's under age, haha.

Still a good time being in the shop hammering some work out. I can take or leave the tunes when I'm working.

Hey guys I’m makin a somber late night update, recently read the heart breaking news on Curt Brown, R.I.P. Brotha, had to pay respects before I post anything.

Earlier today I finally began my 4 bolt rear end swap! Had a couple buddies from work give me a hand and I couldn’t be happier to slowly be makin some progress with the car. My goal this summer is to complete my fuel system upgrade, 4 bolt swap and then upgrade rotors/brake lines and re-paint the calipers and upgrade the rear pads. Then hopefully come October drop off the block/head at the machine shop:hellyeah:

Also wanted to show a side by side comparison of the stock return line next to my new 6AN return line, as some people think their about the same size, the inside diameter of the 6AN is bigger than the outside diameter of the factory line by quite a bit, the 8AN feed line will be a really big upgrade LOL

So making another boring update to my build, my double pumper will hopefully be going in the tank this weekend:pray:. Also finally got the rounded 24mm fill plug off my 4 bolt diff with the help of the Irwin bolt extractor socket.

Okay guys...It’s been a loooong time since I updated. Since last summer not much has happened with the car. I did get my double pumper installed along with the bigger fuel lines, I’m still waiting on my fuel filter brackets from PowerHouse Racing to mount up my Weldon fuel filter, so I should be buttoning that up soon. Otherwise I’ve just been buying and hoarding parts LOL.

I picked up everything else for my cylinder head, it’ll pretty much have gsc everything. I finally dropped off my block a couple weeks ago at the machine shop, and yesterday dropped off the head with the L19’s for the torque plate hone. I’m so excited to be able to get the long block assembled and put back in the car with the new trans as well:hellyeah:

Very nice man! :hellyeah: I am just about to install the 5 speed I bought from you. My car hasn't been driven since I busted 2nd gear. Then, I'll be sending the busted one to Jack's for a rebuild. Did you just get the basic work on yours at Jack's or did you get it upgraded? I'm glad you are working towards getting yours on the road. I'm thinking that by this time next week, I'll be rolling. :rocks: Looking forward to your updates.

Hey man good to hear from you! My Jacks Trans was purchased from, Jacks Transmissions, they had it listed on eBay, came with their warranty and everything, so with it being a 91-94 unit, I’ve since swapped out my 90 base shifter/cables to 91-94, so hopefully everything shifts okay. It was listed as an “HD Drag trans” with 4 spyder diff, I know they haven’t offered that build for awhile, as now I think they just do standard and dogbox LOL, but when I saw it I happened to be in a position to buy it and couldn’t resist. I hope the ole’90 gearbox works out for you, like I said it wasn’t grinding in any gear for me, but wouldn’t take a 2-3 shift at 7500, I partially blame an act 2600 that was still barely dragging and I’m sure there’s things worn out in a 31 year old transmission LOL, but I wish you luck with it:rocks:

So recently got my fuel filter Installed, so the pumps, lines and filter are DONE.

Picked up these nice brackets from PowerhouseRacing to get her mounted up.

I decided to mount the filter under the car because the 10 foot length of line I purchased wasn’t quite long enough to mount it in the factory location, the next option was to buy a 20’ length for a stupid amount, and I didn’t want to run a union/coupler in the line as it would be a

sort of restriction, so this made sense, I ran the 10 foot section to the filter, and ran the 5’ length I bought out to the bay which is plenty.

Also ordered my new Pro Sport Oil Pressure Gauge, along with a new GlowShift tripple pillar gauge pod from DieselDouschBags.com, J/K.

Of course I had to spray the gauge pod to match the car:hellyeah:
