I've tuned 560's on MAF & PTE 1000's on SD pretty well, but these large high impedance injectors are kicking my butt! When I'm tuning cruise, it spikes all the way lean for a few seconds and then goes back to normal. When I'm ready to shift, it goes super rich. I'm using the SD VE Adjust (SD Ratio). Here's a cruise log.

Thanks
Tony

These are the setting I have for my Bosch 2150s Tony:

Bosch 2150 Injector settings:
Injector Offset voltages:
7 – 1590
9 – 1110
12 – 860
14 - 680
16 - 590
19 - 435

Global Setting: -71
Dead Time - 0

You might plug them in and save to ECU, turn her off and back on and see how she likes or dislikes those new settings. I got those figures from the member I bought them from who had a 700hp DSM and it was his settings.

Pretty sure I plugged those offsets in. But I'll check again. Thanks Marty!

Are you currently running those?

No I have FICs in right now and
YOUR TPS is needing adjusted.....:p

She's a little finicky. Car off it sits at .59 and when I turn it on, it's .61 or .63. Probably can use a new one.

700 not 900 Nick !!!!!:p

When I looked at the log you posted Tony, your offsets were different thats why I posted mine up. Idk if it will make the car like it or not, but sure worth a few clicks of the computer to try. :thumb:

You can't cruise tune until you idle tune, you LTFT is way off at -12.5. Your deadtime is a negative number again a super no no.

I don't like adjusting the voltage for the injectors, seen nothing but problems doing that, The OEM values are fine, I have tuned a lot of injectors and never had to change those for any reason. It creates a new variable you have to tune around.

Get your LTFT and STFT reading 0 +or- 2 and then got WOT tuning, from there fill in the blank of cruise tune, that is always last.

Up to you Tony on how you do it. I do the same as @ist dwa and do the idle first, dialing it in to within +-5% on STFT's then go for a cruise. I find it easier but some guys tune the WOT first. It all works in the end, but that method hasn't been easy for me. I sit in the drive and dial in the idle after its warm if it will run that long, then go out and run thru varying hills, flats and just light on my throttle and let SDAdjust give me tips. As soon as I start seeing the STFT's, I start dialing in to 14.7-14.9 as my WB bounces a little bit.

I play with mine almost everytime I am in her. Like a good looking woman, can't keep my hands off of her!!! :p

ROFL Occasionally, you have to or else she'll get very angry:p

Fuel trims at idle are good but when I'm getting on it, afr is lean for a few seconds. This was all light throttle though. Will injector tip in fix this? Don't want it to be this lean when I start WOT.

Well SDAdjust suggests that you richen up those cells where the thing is very lean so I would apply those changes and then do some more testing.....or that's what I do to dial it in.
Here is what your SDAdjust suggested when I ran it and tracked the datalog.......... I don't think that BaseTipIn will help as it looks like it stays lean for longer than a tip in adjustment would work on, BUT you can increase those numbers and make a nice slope of the graph and give it a try. If it bogs or does some funky stuff you can always change it back.

Before, I have tried making the suggested changes and smooth it out but it still did the same thing. Didn't really get to do much during lunch today so I'll work on it here in the next few days.

You can also think about it this way, you can richen the whole thing up globally then retune the idle. Either way, it kinda looked like it might want a global adjustment to richen her up and see how she responds, if it suks, change it back.

Shit you are on it LOL good for you. Okay, judging from what Marty attached as a pic, yes it seems to me that my suggested changes from the VEadjust feature were just like that but even higher. Where the car wanted to start spooling, my AFRs went insanely lean (18:1 AFRs). I will attach a pic of what I got as a result of following VE adjust.

Also, I can't view your log, I'm sorry. Currently at work on my phone.

Yup. That sounds like these injectors. I’m going to keep trying and if I can’t figure it out, I’ll be shopping for a set as well.

These were somewhat taken at different times but the first photo was actually AFTER the second. I ended up using the suggestions only to be suggested even HIGHER suggestions which resulted in major hot spots on the log. Which by the way did NOTHING for the car.

Yup. That looks like exactly where I’m super lean as well.

@ishnish how long have you been messing with these?
Had them in the box for 6 years. Then finally installed them. Dealt with the problems for 2 years.. saving you a lifetime.. not worth the headache.
Also, I will gladly have you know that I just got some conclusive results from a very detailed (and expensive) test done by FIC themselves which concluded the injectors are 100% totally fine. This boils down to them just being too large for my setup.
I have to give FIC a ton of credit here for even doing this for me. It's actually incredible that they did. Also, the only reason this even happened is because my tuner (and a damn good friend now) Kevin Jewer pulled some strings and made this all happen.

EDIT: These results came back as of 10 minutes ago btw LOL
