I've had 8 of these cars and never seen anything like that in the factory wiring, even for the alarm and ETACS system. However, Thunderchild is half right about what he said, just not the oem part. I was the seinor tech at my last job and had to pull many alarm systems to get cars to run again. Most had a button of some sort like this that allows for the alarm to be reset if activated or disconnected. Those are all non-oem style wiring and connectors as well. That was 100% someone else's hack-job.

I also used to pull aftermarket alarms and such and also install them. Now the valet buttons are part of the antennas, but I digress. If I had to guess I would say that is a valet button, and fuse that was attached to the door unlock and lock wires from the alarm/keyless. Its all aftermarket and can be removed but just makes sure if they interrupted the factory wires they you cut the aftermarket section in and re-splice (solder) the factory back together.

Thank you guys very much. Didn’t think it looked oem at all. Those wires was never crimped. Like the connectors was used as a cap. Who knows. I’m sure I’ll find other stuff more I rip things apart. Lol. Thanks again.

Only reason I suspected some kind of oem thing was the Mitsubishi sticker, but it may not even be attached. Some oem add on systems I've done were manufactured by aftermarket companies a s smacked with an oem label sticker. Still had aftermarket wiring styles, but a labeled sticker for the make on them. But it's been a bout 7 years since I've seen those styles. Now it's all t-harness plug n play easiness.
