Taking my 2g to the dyno tomorrow fingers crossed for a good day. What do ya think I’ll put down? Hta68 780cc Wally 255 etc. Also I want to hear some mods and numbers maybe even some horror stories of what happened to you guys if you’ve done some dyno time.

Same reason I moved up from my 1120s. They will work but be really high on duty cycle.

I’ll keep saying for the price, throw in the Walbro 525 and call it a day.
The 255 is really runnin out at 400whp-450whp @ 12 volts. Seriously. It supports more (especially with higher voltages), but it’s on the ragged edge. I literally just saw a dyno posted in a thread last year where the guy was making between 450-500 and the Walbro was completely tapped out. I can’t find the thread now, of course.

For 400-425whp I say go 1000/1050’s, that includes E85. Give yourself +/- 1300’s for room to grow.

I believe the FP3’s were Comp Cams’s 101200’s correct? (Which are based on HKS’s 272’s.)
They’re 212/212 @ 0.050” lift and is a GREAT all around cam with the cam moreso favoring the right side of the map. Imo they would suit a 68HTA VERY nicely. I would personally run 101100’s or 101200’s at this power level in my own car. And No need to go bigger than them or the Kelford 264’s unless you need the power to the right of the map for drag racing or something.

Get the timing right and let Dave work his magic. He is a great tuner.

I am on it hopefully this weekend I got a timing kit from extreme psi should be here tomorrow. And he is amazing did a few of my buddy’s cars and really works magic

I’m fwd so I don’t want to be fighting traction to much and it’s more daily with spice then track with street time would I need e85 and cams to make closer to 400 then 350? And the Wally 525 isn’t over kill as well. I’m not worried about budget but if I can SAFELY get where I want without leaving much on the table also stock block stock trans can only take me so far

Okay fellas timing is redone with a new gates belt as well as new water pump and new pulleys going back soon and I’ll post an update again!! Thanks for all the help and advice I’m going to do a mildly built head for it but in time I’m not in a rush for it but I guess it’s the next step

I'm running 68hta V2. My log shows 80% duty cycle at 26psi 13* for PTE 1000cc injectors with kelford 272s just under 50lb/min on 93

So had another super fun day at the dyno yesterday. Got 15 min away and my alternator decided to start putting out 18v when running. Made it there and an autozone 20 min away had one so I had the wife drive out to take me to the store swapped it on and a couple mf and WTF later we hit the dyno for more fun. Map sensor was trippin So it got swapped iat was trippin so it got swapped also then it would only make 15-17 lbs of boost and kept falling. All that being said My highest pull was 296hp and 286tq. Picked up about 100 of each by fixing the timing and some gaskets but The fun wasn’t even over. At this point I had been there for 6-7 hours so we called it a day. On the way home my boost kept falling eventually it was almost nonexistent 1-3 psi max. I stopped and looked but it was dark I was tired and a little upset and didn’t see anything major so I just drove it home. This morning it was eating me up so I go out And my internal wastegate was basically falling off my turbo housing. I fix my damn waste gate go for a pull and boom 26-28 psi!!! Car is running great pulls fine but damn if I don’t want to go back again just to see the numbers. I’m thinking build a new head and new injectors and pump before I go back but I also have a bone stock 1g to start also and it might be time for it since my 2g drives fine (for now). Happy boosting!!!!

Oh man that would drive me nuts until I got back on the dyno. You should give em a call maybe he can squeeze you in sooner rather than later knowing all the headaches you been going through lately. Tune it now when you know its 100% who knows what little creatures might show up if you wait LOL.
