So I pulled over shut the car off everything was fine. Started the car up and the wide band went full lean ---- but the car runs fine. Now and then it jumps to life for a sec then dead again full lean. Can sensors just die like that? Car was warm I drove about a hr before I pulled over for 30 mins and then fired it up.

How long have you had it? Yes they fail. Those bosche sensors are hit and miss. My aem wideband brand new was dead on arrival. Back on my turbo civic it also went dead too after a yr. You can get replacement on ebay on the cheap but I'm pretty sure there knock offs. They come in a bosche box. I bought 2 as back ups.
 
Is your wideband taking the place of your factory narrowband sensor? I am thinking the GAUGE is acting up but the ECU is seeing the correct values or it wouldn't want to run. Do you log and if so, is it showing up in Link as full lean or something more normal?

Have you tried to re-calibrate the sensor?
 
Dam :( I have tried cycling the key then firing it up and no change it's a aem guess it decided it's dead now.

No I have two separate sensors still the stock o2 in the exhaust housing and the wideband is further down. Car runs just fine still but no data from the aem wideband just like that it killed itself.
