No Videographer, he had to work, but somebody in the EVO surely has a video of the ass end of a quickly leaving train........... :sneaky:

Well.....the son that was riding in the EVO 8 last night came by a minute ago. According to his perspective, the bus lengths I put on an 11 second EVO was considerable. Says "Dad, you got a easy low 10 car".
I told him we'll see when the track opens up :)
I had no idea how fast that kids car was until just now. I had a good look of it in the mirror was all I new!
That makes this old man feel pretty f***ing good! :thumb:
Still no video of the get down, sorry all.

Evidently there was a SnapChat video of the get down but it disappeared after 24 hrs. Idda liked to have seen it myself. :banghead:

Pulled out of Pizza Hut and had traffic bearing down so I just pressed the gas and let the Smartshift 100.1 do IT's thing.
Love that little box!
The delivery driver behind me caught this. Lmfao

Merry Christmas all!
Now lets all take a Christmas ride to Grandma's house in the Talon!!!
Sorry about the audio, the car is VERY LOUD.
Enjoy the ride!
We did and got good data for both the ECU and TCU.

She’s movin!!!! :applause:

Been working 6 days a week at the good ole USPS to get everyone their Christmas gifts so haven't had much time to refine the tune. She is lean up top so it needs addressed. The TCU needs the 2-3 shift moved up about 500 rpm also. 2 step is needing lowered about 500 as I am on the stock converter so she only builds about 3#'s boost, BUT, she doesn't blow the tires off so that may be good. :thumb:

Well time for updates. They car will have a professional remote tune soon so I've been busy. I have the EBC installed and wired up for Link, IDK how much I'll have to use it, she runs very good on gate but its there.
The fuel pressure sensor to log with is installed and working great, that's a relief.
I have the NOS buttons semi-installed, they are solid at least. I rewired the FPS pigtail to run a relay activating the NOS for spoolup with a 75hp dry shot pill. Plans are to have it deactivate after a set amount of boost in 1st through LINK. I also have a override button for the NOS and a override button for "scramble" to open the boost up if needed.
I know, lots of tricky siht there but I love the car doing it all on its own AND ALL I NEED TO DO IS DRIVE HER.
Tune a a couple weeks on gas snd then on E85 for a FF tune and the car is "maybe" finished.
Updates will come.
For those who are following, she took out an 11 sec Evo already and had plenty of room.
I just got my GOPRO so much better footage to come.....cause everybody likes video

Trying to find the GoPro video. Its short.

Here we go...

I'm so tired of him too, can't we just put him in "a home"??? He doesn't even know himself. :tease: :p :argue: arguin with himself, poor guy needs help! :shhh:

Much better videos to come. Have to find the right place to mount the "mount" on the back glass for the GoPro. :thumb:

Boost and Wastegate override buttons are now ACTIVE and function as intended. :thumb:Hopefully fun times to come! :sneaky:
Thanks for following!!!
Marty

I'm still running that mechanical oil pressure gauge until she is tuned and then I will put an electronic one in the A pillar. Sorry for the "clutter". I have to many gadgets. ECU, TCU, N2O, EBC, FP SENDER, WB....I'm sure I'm missin somethin Sol....ROFL ROFL
I appreciate ya following along!!! :thumb:

Just havin fun with a friend of my sons in his F Body 3rd gen Firebird.
I gave him the hit and a 1 second wait. Hell it didn't matter. Just the old man havin fun in his home built car :thumb: No building boost, just mashing the gas and letting the car work. She's a laggy girl but hits hard and has never known anything under 33 lbs of boost so I am anxious to up it and get on E85 to see what kind of bi*** she really can be! OMG . I've been too scared to even use the boost override button because I love her the way she runs right now and she's dependable.

That I did Tony. He new it before it started but our cars USED to be pretty close. I would just edge him out everytime on the 13b and ruined alot of peoples 1/8 mile dreams too.

Since the car has picked up alot of speed, it was time to upgrade the binders. I had to order 2 2g front brake hoses and banjo bolts or this would have been about an hour long project....should be done by the weekend and she's clogging up my lift so gotta finish her up.
These are the PowerStop Z26 components. The next post should show the competed swap to the Dual piston/drilled and slotted setup.
Because I've had several members ask WHICH banjo bolts i used, I added the part number/box from Oriellys that I used and they work perfect, BrakeBest #H9477-1. :thumb:

Man those calipers look sweet! I need to repaint mine, i don’t know what it is about red brake calipers but I love’em:rocks: And the car is killing it by the way, can’t wait for some more street kills in Mexico LOL

I want that time slip Jeremy!!! Just a couple months away before the track opens and as soon as this weather gives me just a few days in a row that are good, the pro tune will be done on my crappy gas (still saw the knock light at 5* MAX timing, at 4* it stays off) AND E85 - YAY!!!
Knowbody has noticed the 2 7 bolt blocks on the dollies on the floor....yet...

Alrighty, here's the new dual piston 2g calipers....yes they were ordered as 1994 calipers but I got banjo bolt fitting calipers so I think they are 2g by the looks. Anyway., a couple Oriellys banjo bolts and customized hose hold stays and we are IN business!
Here they are. If you have any questions about the hose hold downs just ask, it was pretty simple.
Marty
Oh yeah, just went to get groceries in her as a test after using the 1 man power bleeder!
