Hi
I write a sad story here.
When i restore my Eagle, somebody stole my built engine, because this was the only thing that somone could take from my garage.
The end...
After that my friend gave me stock 6bolt N/A engine with only 60k Miles.
Can you tell me how much boost i can push on it ?
This is my mods from the previous engine:
- Brian Crower combo 272 Stage 2

- 4” intake custom

- BOV HKS ssqv

- IC Precision Racing

- K&N big tube

- Map sensor out

- exhaust manifold from Evo 3

- Forced Performance 3065 dual bb

- Wastegate Tial 44mm + screamer pipe

- 3” custom exhaust

- MSD Dis2

- AEM EMS ver 1. standalone

- Spark plug cables Vision Motorsport 12mm

- NGK Irydium 2' colder

- Fidanza plate

- Injectors RC 750

- fuel pressure regulator grom Aeromotive

- AEM 340lph fuel pump with better fuel filter

This is everything what left from my previous setup.
My car had 450 hp with this mods.

My friend who gave my that engine sad about 350hp but i don't know.

Could you help me ?

Thanks for your support !

You would need to swap the n/a pistons to turbo model pistons, it should hold 350 after that if everything else is in actual good condition.

Hey man I’d be happy to give you my factory 6 bolt rods/pistons with arp rod bolts, less than a thousand miles on the rings and fasteners, I’ll be tearing it down in a couple weeks..
Shipping costs could come into play here, you might want to check it out but good looking out for him!

But how about stock N/T pistons ?
250hp or less ?

Thank you man! People from USA are the best ! But i'm from Poland and shipping cost will be very big.
I'm planning to change stock bolts to ARP
But now i want to ride on stock engine.
Thank you again !

Shoot man I kinda jumped the gun there LOL, my intention was free plus shipping but I’m not sure if you’d wanna pay for that price, I’ll try and figure out the cost and shoot you a pm:thumb:

I will pay of course, but shipping cost to my country from you will be highier than buying arp bolts in my country haha
I don't want to cause any trouble with you
But thank you again !

Maybe 200 hp safely, that would still need good tuning to protect it.
Seriously ? I heard that those engine is worse than turbo, but not that much i think....
Somebody wrote that 4g63T 6bolt could make 650 hp on stock, so only 200 on N/A 6bolt is max what i can get ?
I think about 10 psi of boost

You have to realize that a nt motor is built for being na. A turbo motor is built to withstand more power. Build the nt block and you can hold some power.

The pistons are weak on the n/t and they have more compression which makes it more prone to detonation, to make matters worse the piston ring pack sits up higher which makes it more likely to break the ring lands from detonation.

And no piston oil squirters in the N/A block if I'm up on my stuff, and it hasn't been mentioned, for hot turbo piston tops to get cooled off.
