I've heard conflicting opinions on carbonetics, I've never personally dealt with them so i cant actually give an opinion. The main complaints that i have heard and the reasons why I am reluctant to buy anything from them are looong wait times and poor customer service unless you "are somebody".

It took awhile but they finally got back to me. You have to give a down payment and my diffuser wont be rdy for 18-20 weeks. It's such a nice peice tho. I just had to have it.

I’ve purchased from them before. Great products at reasonable prices. The design in my opinion is pretty cool because it covers the original cover quite well so I don’t need to carry a picture of the fuse box diagram. I thought it replaced the cover.

I have their wiper cowl and spark plug cover and both have been great. The cowl has faded some over the years but I guess that seems to be the norm with any clear coated carbon fiber piece exposed to lots of sun.
I had a CF hatch once I think came from them. I never used or tried fitting it before I sold it but it looked good.

So I received most of my stuff today. I got everything besides the front lip and the wiper cowl piece. First everything was packaged nicely and wrapped. After opening everything I expected to find some imperfections here and there. But to my surprise I couldn't find any. The products are very smooth with a very nice finish.

Now onto the bad. The only bad thing is the parts are not sturdy or durable. The parts are quite cheap compared to seibon or VIS. Alot of the parts I feel I could easily just snap and break with minimal effort. Except the spoiler. The spoiler seemed pretty sturdy. I just so happened to receive my carbon fiber spark plug cover from APR for my evo. And you can tell it's just a more durable product.

But besides that I still consider the purchase a win. Everything looks great, no blemishes, no scratches , no chips, excellent customer service. I will update this tomorrow to make sure I receive everything and the condition of the final 2 peices. Heres some pics

So I received my 2nd package on Saturday. And both my front diffuser and wiper cowl were in the box. So that completed my order. I received everything I ordered it was all packaged nicely and it arrived all without a scratch . So my overall experience with special carbon was a positive one. I've never own carbonetics parts before but I have a feeling there parts are of a higher quality. I did order a rear diffuser from carbonetics but its 4 months out. I would not hesitate anyone from doing business with special carbon. I'm still blown away by the great customer service. I feel the parts are a little bit on the flimsy side but they still look amazing and have a great shine to them. I give them an A-. Heres some pics with some of the parts on the car. I have an extra center tail light that's getting painted. So I'm gona fiddle with all red or white in the middle to see which looks better.

I got my car back, so I snapped a few more pics. The body shop forgot to do my door sills. So I gotta bring it back again LOL. But heres some pics. Have some of the wiper cowl and also the new spark plug cover. My mechanic made a steel plate to support the lip underneath so I didnt need to use those brackets people use on the front of their diffusers. I hate those things.

Car is looking SHARP! And I agree. The front splitter struts (I guess I have my own name for em as well LOL) are not my favorite look, I like the clean look without them.

Hey we got it 50/50 correct! I said rod and you said strut. The man who installed it called it a bracket which is WRONG :p

Had some free time today. So I put on the carbon fiber door sills. This is the last piece I got for them. Theres no clips or anything for em so I just went to the store and got some 3m tape and added some 3m adhesive I had laying around. It stuck ok. I wouldve just super glued em instead since I dont plan on taking them off ever. But there on.

I love those! It's just a bummer that they don't have the little clips on the mounting tabs because I take those off every now and then since my battery relocation wire runs underneath that. Ah well. Definitely looking into the CF wiper cowel though!
Mine fit great, and it’s such a cool piece! I want to skin the wiper arms now though because they stick out LOL

The cowl is great. I cant wait for my rear diffuser from carbonetics . The special carbon one is ugly

From my experience with them, the person behind Carbonetics is too immature, he is in essence a fanboy of some type that as you said caters to customers that he "thinks of as someone", others are left out in the wind, well what you should do is vote with your dollars, there is now competition in the cf parts world for Dsm parts, the cream will rise to the top and others will swim or sink, he had better hope that his "big names" that he has catered to, are there for him when he is sinking to the bottom.
