I have my intake manifold off and was looking at my knock sensor. There seems to be some black goo starting to come out. (Picture attached) This means my knock sensor needs replaced correct? I was getting pretty consistent phantom knock in the low rpms so I'm hoping this can potentially resolve that.

I notice supporting vendors do not carry new 2g OEM knock sensors. Where is everybody getting there replacements? I'd prefer to have OEM quality if not better. Thanks!

I only mentioned your not understanding because your comments on the knock mic suggest that you dont realize it operates independently.

Also- in post #4 of this thread, you advised someone to swap to an Evo ECU if they are using the Evo knock sensor. I know of dozens of cars running EvoScan using an Evo ECU with a 2g knock sensor still in place.

See where this is going??

That doesn't make it right.

Why is this thread still going? I'm unwatching this, the o.p. clearly stated that he already bought thw one that I sent so there's no need for this to continue. The thread honestly should have stopped there. Party on without me getting notifications
