Just installed an innovate LC2 last night, and I went to sync it with ECMlink after calibrating the sensor. Although my gauge is reading normally, the LC1 value in my log remains at 7.3, while my WBfactor remains at about -50. I wired everything up according to the instructions on the ECMlink wiki, so what could be causing this?

On the LC2, just tap off of the gauge wire and run IT to the ecu. I can't remember the color, but maybe white I think, not brown. It should read the same.

We need to know how you wired it.
Marty nailed it. You can wire off of the 0-5V heading to the gauge and make it also go to ECU, OR use the other available wire and set it up in innovates software to output a 0-5V signal as well.
Doesn’t matter. Both ways accomplish same thing.

If you didn’t change the output on that other wire, it’s setup to output narrowband (0.1-1.1V) my guess is this is what you did.

That's what I figured was going on @Bleakley also. I found it more difficult to setup the other output so I just tapped off of the signal wire and it works super.

This article is a good read and explains a little bit on the wiring.

The tap off of the gauge wire has always worked much easier for me than reprogramming the other output, since that wire is already correctly set up for the Link connection, but if you feel like getting into the Logging part of the Innovate product, then go right ahead. I just like my computer to see the same exact reading as I can see on the gauge. The 2nd output can be changed to 1-5v, I just didn't like messing with it. I have both cars with LC2's set up this way. I am not sure about the AEM WB that I have in the 3rd DSM. I don't have it hooked up yet and it wires in differently than the Innovate WB's do, but it came with that car so I am going to use it as long as it plays well with Link.

Do they really??? If they just made their program as simple as pie, I would have used the 2nd output. I got into it and decided fk it, and did like you, tapped that gauge wire.

Dis you check the scaling of each analog input via LogWorks? Mine was pre-calibrated for Narrowband operation and had the same 7-ish AFR. Believe a bad ground will also cause this issue (very sensitive to ground).

Just double checked things, I did wire my LC2 controller into pin #4 of my ECU and tapped the gauge's wire into it. Both the grounds for both devices are crimped to two different connectors but are on the same bolt for ground (could that be an issue?) I don't have the cables for Logworks as I bought my kit used so I'm gonna order it and see if the settings are off.

My engine is horribly out of tune (currently waiting for rix racing to get back to me on a tune) but here's a datalog at idle if you wanna check it out.

On my cars, I’ve had 2 LC-1‘s, and one LC-2. They seem to be VERY finicky and most people seem to buy something else after using them.
I like the unit.

If all else fails. Follow the wiring instructions TO A T.
If it says ground in separate spots, do it. If innovate themselves recommend wiring the gauge signal and ECU signal separate, do it. Shit like that.

Can’t say I’ve ever had this issue. Be interesting to see the solution. Again, wire this thing as perfectly as you think you can. I read the instructions thoroughly and wired it as perfect as I could on my DSM cause I had a problem with blowing sensors. This one has lasted me MONTHS now where the other ones only lasted MAYBE a few weeks. Good luck man.

Maybe I'm lucky, mine has lasted me years.....watch it go out today.....
