My young self got a good kick out of this, so I figured I would share this with you guys and get criticized by the older ones. Hopefully some of you can laugh like I did LOL.

Well... Since I ported the intake manifold and put the larger throttle body on, I haven't been able to get it to idle down and stop surging. I have literally spent the last 2 weeks twisting the tip of the IAC, swapping between different TPS's, twisting the set screw farther in, and just trying my best to fine tune the freaking thing. But for some reason, nothing I did made any difference at all. It still idled way too high, and still surged in neutral. I went out for my last resort "fine tuning", and once I got the IAC taken back out, I noticed THIS HOLE IN MY INTAKE MANIFOLD!!! ROFL So apparently I went a little too far when porting it, and I penetrated the sidewall....

It's so small, that's why it took my blind self so long to find it... And when I saw it, I was like :aha:

Is it just that little crack looking thing?? -- Id say have it welded too Paul Walker :p

But honestly don't feel bad. All part of how you learn.

One time I cracked 2 oem oil pump housings in a row. (within 10 minutes) by having the gear on the shaft backwards. ~$325 a piece LOL. There were both used but then I had to buy one.

Long story short, I jbwelded it and it ran fine, no leaks for 3 months. Eventually I had cash and time to pull the motor again to replace it properly -.-

Is that a right off or can you weld it closed ..JB weld maybe. Don`t be so hard on yourself . I`m sure we all have a story like yours hidden away.
I used some JB Weld and it holds up nicely.
