Oh god no I dont drive it in the snow. I have a 09 civic Si as well as a 2018 sti that are my DD . I will be posting up my small builds for those as well. I also have another 4g63 that I will be sharing shortly. Dont wana post everything at once haha.

As for the DSM It was always my dream car. My first 2 cars when I was 16 was a 90 GS then a 98 RS. My uncle also owned a 91 GSX that he let me drive once in awhile. My best friend used to house sit for these 2 ladies and one owned a 99 gsx. They went to Canada for a few weeks and he let me drive it for those 2 weeks. A memory I will never forget. I always wanted a turbo one but couldnt afford it. And honestly I'm glad I didnt. Because at 16 or 17 it wouldve ended up being another broken trashed out eclipse. Now I'm in my mid 30s and learned alot on how to make a clean simple build. I went a little overboard with the eclipse but its because it reminds me of my youth. But everything done to it, I believe is a clean look. It's almost complete. I wanted to keep the car under 300hp for reliability purposes. I own faster more modern cars so no need to put some huge turbo and built motor into this. My goal with the cams is hopefully in the 270ish range which is plenty. Everything else is just looks. Once my front and rear diffuser are on, I think it will really set it off. I was driving it home the other day and the kids at the jiffy lube were jumping up and down crazy when they see this car. I dont need to be the fastest guy on the street , this car turns heads everywhere all the time. Thumbs up literally everytime I drive it. My gf enjoys it, and we took it to rhode island last yr on vacation. We went to watch hill where every other car is a convertible. But there was only 1 gst convertible eclipse there hehe.. And even up there I got complimented all over.
Sounds like you got some good history and great background to spur you on your quest for this car.

What you have done is very subtle and power is very useable and your reliability will be just fine as you already know, so the car is just a nice cruiser for the summer mainly yeah.
My Wife used....... To love drving around with me and now she hates it LOL but i went way out of my original plans so we dont get those nice romantic times anymore so alot of our trips are now in the daily but they used to be fun so you driving around together is nice and that you can both enjoy the car

That civic is fast, really clean also. Well done!! Props to Honda for the K series. I’m sure I’ll get sh** for say this but I believe they’re the best 4 cylinders today. I had a b18c1 and b18c5 swapped eg’s back in the day. They were fun...vtec yo!! Lol
Not trying to start stuff, but I'm 100% sure that my RS is way faster than my brothers 08 SI.

We would have to see that . My rs was full bolton and my buddies LS integra with just intake would pull on it. But we were both automatic. The z1 engine is prolly the fastest 200 hp engine in the class. You guys should setup a run and see. I would like to see the video.

I totally agree with you. My gst on the stock t25 tuned made the same power as my 09 civic with boltons tuned. Both made 211. The gst made alot more tq tho LOL

What??? I need proof for this one.

Yea def would like to see it. No offense to black but unless you have some serious work to the 420 it wont even be close. Mod vs mod or stock vs stock. Your comparing a 200 hp detuned high revving race engine with VSA and a factory lsd with a 6spd trans to a 140 hp engine not made for racing. Even full bolton against a stock si I dont see it being close at all

He's got absolutey no mods at all except for some stupid "2 step" trash on there that cuts ignition at 5500 and ended up blowing his headgasket. My car is manual.

We've done some playing around town but never actually pulled. If he can get it running again then we can do some playing.

By the way, that 200hp doesn't mean shit considering it only has 130 torque, and so does a stock 420a.

It has 140 tq. So your saying you make pretty much the same tq and 60 less hp and you think you have a chance? What's gona happen when your shifting at 6500 and that thing is making power all the way up to 8k rpms ?

Another thing to consider, his car is bone stock. And mine has the wrenches turned. Is my car making 200 hp? No. But is it making 140 hp? Absolutely not.
Well, let me stop here, LOL.

When it comes down to it, both of our cars are slow as dirt, and I'm willing to admit it. I have no regret in buying or owning a 420a, no matter how slow it is. I'm currently in the market for a really clean GSX and I can go crazy with it. But the simple fact is, if me and him lined up side by side, I would win the race. I might not be able to gap him, but I'm crossing the line first.

By the way, my apologies if I kinda sabotaged your build thread...

And I do think you've got a badass Civic there, I wasn't trying to dis-it either.

Just wondering how he owns a 4g63t, and thinks a Civic carries the best 4 cylinder in the world ROFL

Haha no worries . All up for a good debate. I think he means build quality and power output out of an n/a motor.. The k20z is a far more superior motor than a 7 bolt 4g63. An evo 4g is a different story. Even an frs or gt86 which would be the same platform as the civic. Both 2.0 , 200hp engine. The civic will pull it.

I don’t think 4g63t is the best BECAUSE I own one. That’s not how my brain works.

Heres proof it’s one of the best 4 cylinders today, not talking out my arse. All motor 600hp 8 second quarter mile.

Getting back on track. Had lots of fun with the civic. I beat almost
that tried messing me with that thing. Well after destroying an frs on the highway , the next day I noticed some knocking sounds. Took it to my shop they said the car got to hot and a damaged a peice of the piston . Sold it to a friend he drove it for awhile. The knocking got louder. He ended up selling it to someone in California sight unseen who put 91 in it and blew it up for good.

So moving on, I decided to stay in the Honda game I picked up a 2001 Honda S2000. Did the basic boltons with an aem V2 ecu. Car doesn't respond well to mods. Only made 201whp. I only kept it for about 2yrs. Then I moved on

Well then here goes! After I realised the s2000 just wasnt for me I was able to sell it for a little more than what I purchased for with the mods. The buyer said he looked at s2000 after s2000 and they were all trash. He bought mine immediately upon viewing it.

So now this is all my current lineup of vehicles. Currently own 4 cars. I always had a DD btw. At this time I had a bone stock rsx-s. Never did anything to it besides an intake. Was a great DD. Never gave me issues.

But anyways another car I was dying for I finally owned. A 2003 Mitsubishi Evo 8. I searched everyday for a clean one. All of them were heavily modded with high mileage. I was able to find this one which was bone stock with only 16k miles. That's right 16k miles on an evo bone stock. The car was 8 hrs away in Pittsburgh PA. Me and my buddy did a little road trip. We left at about 1am to be there for 9am. And what a beauty she was.

That’s a rare gem. What’s your plans with this one? I say keep it close to stock as possible. They hold their resale value really well.

It's already complete. I've had it for about 4 yrs now. It's just under 30k miles now. I dont wana post everything at once. Then I'll run out of things to share LOL.
