Bought this car in the spring of 2019. Had only 31k miles on her. 99 gst spyder

So it wouldnt be a dsm build without issues right? I was sold a crappy ECU from a member here that I was able to get my money back from paypal. Was able to get a properly running ecmlink from kevin@justatune
Car then had over heating issues on the highway. Had to add a big mishi radiator and a fan control module and cut the bumper a little. Wasnt to bad but it was all set and running. Now that all the mods and maintenance was done. Time for the tune. This was the heartbreaker as the car completely under preformed . Only made 211 whp but the tq was solid at 268.

Wasnt happy with this, so back to the drawing boards
 
So enjoyed the car for a few weeks. Took it on a road trip with the Gf. Heres some latest pics of it. Theres alot more being added. The car recently has been completely repainted along with a bunch of carbon fiber bits on the way. Once I get the car back I'll post more pics of the new paint job.

I actually found their website for you. You can reach it on this link. The floormats I have arent listed on their website but if you show a picture I'm sure they can make it still. That's if you want the red lining. Which I think is the best looking one they offer. They are pricey but there worth the price to set your car off from all the rest. Not to many seem to run these. If you need a better pic for reference for them feel free to reach out. They have really good communication and speak english. They do take about 3 weeks to arrive tho. They also have special padding in the dead center where your feet mostly hit to avoid pre mature wear.

So I dropped the car back off at my mechanics. They added a full custom 3in exhaust , FP manifold , Deatschwerks 550cc injectors, Big Garrett T28 turbo. Goal is just to be at around 280 whp.

After all that was installed. Time to get the body back into shape. Paint wasn't in bad shape at all for a 20 yr old car. But there was some scratches, chips , stains, holes from the front plate that I wanted gone. So off to the body shop for new paint and to get rid of all those blemishes

So I'm pretty much caught up on my thread. I recently purchased a bunch of carbon fiber parts from special carbon. I picked up a front diffuser, wiper cowl, rear plate garnish , fog light bezel, door sills, spoiler and spark plug cover. I picked up a rear diffuser from carbonetics but that's a 4 month wait.

Theres other things purchased I didnt even mention. Transmissions and parts are becoming scarce. So I sourced a FWD transmission and sent it out to Tim at TMZ for a full rebuild. Down the road transmissions will be very sought after. There becoming harder to get quality parts for.
 
Since I'm pretty much caught up with the DSM I'd figure I would share some of my other cars with you guys. In total I own 4 vehicles. All are tastefully modded. Very simple builds. The eclipse is the only car I went balls to the wall with since my 05 ep3 back in the day. My ep3 I did every type R part I could find. Wheels , lip kit, seats. Etc. And it had the power to boot. Car was running a k24 Crv motor with a revhard stage 2 kit. Car made 336 whp 327 ft tq. That thing was a fast hatch. If you wana see it in action. Heres a video vs a M3. Unknown mods.

This is a nice DSM and i loved how original it was, (kinda wished you kept it original) but you have done it nicely and not messed the order of things up so thats very good, the car is looking great and i know you will find more things to do to it.

So do you drive this in the snow? If so i hope the underside is all sealed and protected from the salts

Oh god no I dont drive it in the snow. I have a 09 civic Si as well as a 2018 sti that are my DD . I will be posting up my small builds for those as well. I also have another 4g63 that I will be sharing shortly. Dont wana post everything at once haha.

As for the DSM It was always my dream car. My first 2 cars when I was 16 was a 90 GS then a 98 RS. My uncle also owned a 91 GSX that he let me drive once in awhile. My best friend used to house sit for these 2 ladies and one owned a 99 gsx. They went to Canada for a few weeks and he let me drive it for those 2 weeks. A memory I will never forget. I always wanted a turbo one but couldnt afford it. And honestly I'm glad I didnt. Because at 16 or 17 it wouldve ended up being another broken trashed out eclipse. Now I'm in my mid 30s and learned alot on how to make a clean simple build. I went a little overboard with the eclipse but its because it reminds me of my youth. But everything done to it, I believe is a clean look. It's almost complete. I wanted to keep the car under 300hp for reliability purposes. I own faster more modern cars so no need to put some huge turbo and built motor into this. My goal with the cams is hopefully in the 270ish range which is plenty. Everything else is just looks. Once my front and rear diffuser are on, I think it will really set it off. I was driving it home the other day and the kids at the jiffy lube were jumping up and down crazy when they see this car. I dont need to be the fastest guy on the street , this car turns heads everywhere all the time. Thumbs up literally everytime I drive it. My gf enjoys it, and we took it to rhode island last yr on vacation. We went to watch hill where every other car is a convertible. But there was only 1 gst convertible eclipse there hehe.. And even up there I got complimented all over.
 
That civic is fast, really clean also. Well done!! Props to Honda for the K series. I’m sure I’ll get shit for say this but I believe they’re the best 4 cylinders today. I had a b18c1 and b18c5 swapped eg’s back in the day. They were fun...vtec yo!! Lol
