Man is this sh*t kicking my butt / making my brain hurt. I am competent when it comes to wiring diagrams, so this should be a joke.
However, the information from the manufacturer (Directed / Viper) is not very clear to me. Seems it’s the same way for others.
So I have decided to make a detailed and straightforward thread on installing one of these systems. Not only in an effort to gain some feedback on if I actually did this right, but also to help the many I know are gonna find their way into the same spot that I’m in.

I’m kinda piggybacking on this thread from RedTurboEclipse: https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/a...rt-turbo-timer-install-wiring-diagram.336052/

What a fantastic resource.
Before I begin. I wanted to say I’m making this so no one messes their car up and to save some people time and headaches. On that note though —> Whatever you do to your car, is your responsibility. If it blows up because you listened to me, you are still the one that worked on it, not me. I am without doubt doing my best to put the best, most accurate information forward as possible, but that won’t change the fact that there may be discrepancies between what is said and shown here versus what is on your actual vehicle. I don’t know what you or the precious owners have done. And you may not either.
alas, lesgettit!

The vehicle I’m working on is a 1995 Eagle Talon TSI (FWD), so this will more than likely pertain moreso to the ‘95-‘96 crowd.
The system I am installing is a Viper 5305V 2-way security and remote start / keyless entry system. It also has a turbo timer function built in and I will be using it.

Hey. For those of you who installed remote start.
For parking brake —> I teed onto the Yellow/Black wire, Pin 7 on connector C-21.
Won’t be messing with the car until the weekend and am going to test with multimeter to see if I have a ground.
But is this the one you guys use? This a good spot / the right spot.

Please don't promote using "t-taps" or "vampire clips". These connections are faulty and could cause issues with both the alarm and vehicle. All connections should be solid and done correctly. I know people like to save time but it's really not a good practice.

I did a 5902v in my ‘97 GST. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try to help you out.

Car has been taking on rain water on the passenger side of the vehicle where the front passenger would sit. The carpet was SOAKED so I know there was standing water underneath.
I forgot the factory amp used to be there. I just taped up the plug a couple years ago but didn’t water proof it.

Door locks don’t work, radio doesn’t work, etc. My electrical diagram book I left in the car and won’t be getting to it until next weekend. Will start diagnoses and keep moving forward then.

Also, back to the original post. I’ll be compiling information on how I wired it up and where I decided to splice and posting up that information. Pictures though will probably be slim. Pretty sure all the points I decided to tie in at are correct. Just want to make sure it works in my car as intended. Almost positive something is up with the ebrake switch (faulty switch or ground or something) because I for the life of me can’t remember the last time I’ve seen my brake warning light on.

Some updates.
The door locks, radio, etc. was caused by me forgetting to plug in some connectors at the junction box. The plug for the amp I actually taped up really good last time I was in there so I left it alone.
Parking brake switch was mildly faulty.
Fixed it but still getting Emergency brake error code from remote starter. I’ve checked all connections and even tested the circuit (key off) for ground and there’s near zero resistance between ground and the wire on the remote starter for parking brake input. What that means is there is a ground signal present, for sure.
I tried ebrake on AND off just to see. Same result.
Next mission is to check pin at remote starter connector. I’m betting my last dollar it’s messed up. So far everything else I have wired up is working as I intended.
