Hey guys, hoping you can help me out here. I'm talking to one of the members on here about buying his 2g turbo style water pipe from him, but neither of us knows roughly what they go for used! Does anybody happen to know what they would usually go for?

It's worth to you what you'll pay for it.

It's worth to him what he'll sell it for.

You two need to figure it out.

Silly, though. If you offer him $5 and he takes it, what does it matter that someone else sold one for $50?

Dude seriously? You're really gonna sit there and try to argue this with me? First off, I'm not gonna do that because I'm not a cheap ass piece of shit, I'm gonna offer him what's fair, not what I think I can get away with. And yeah, you could use that same logic for every damn thing you ever buy. You could go to a dealership to buy a new car you want. They could be asking 40 grand, cause that's what they've been selling for, but who gives a shit, offer them 5 grand right? It's the people with your same thought process that make society as shitty as it has gotten, always trying to see what they can get away with and how they can screw someone over to save a few bucks. THATS NOT WHAT WERE TRYING TO DO. We agreed that it would be fair to find out what they've been selling for on average and base the price on that. That's how we want to do it so that's how it's gonna be done. Sorry, but nobody cares if you think that's "silly"or not.

I promise, I don't mean any offense by this. There's no need for name-calling as it has nothing to do with being cheap or anything like that. It's truly a question of logic, of basic economics. If he doesn't feel like he is being cheated by what you are assuming would be considered "low-balling", how can it be a bad thing to offer that? It's purely hypothetical. I don't know you, I don't know the seller, it's just a question.

Anyway, it would not be unheard of for a used water pipe to be listed for $15-$45, depending on condition and type.

Ok, well I apologize, and I wasn't reaplyvtrying to call you names, I just percieved the comment as more of a "screen whomever you can" comment. I do apologize for getting frustrated tho and a bit upset in making the reply. When you put it the way you just did, I understand more of what you're trying to say and I agree with you, however the problem is that neither I or him know what lowballing or ripping the other person off would be because neither of us had any idea of what they typically sell for. That's why I made this post originally, so we could have an average number to base that off of! Now that I got a reply from another member with a screenshot of the pipe for sale on a parts site, now I have a much better idea if the price I'm offering is fair or if I'm lowballing or if he's trying to overcharge. That's what I was getting at tho by saying some of the stuff I said and again is why I made the post! Again I apologize, I think we just had a bit of a misunderstanding!
