I would also be interested in buying a front sub-frame from you. I dont believe there is anyone that offers one. This is all looking great.
Im still developing it to get it all right and to my liking but im close on the final outcome and then i can weld it and start using it for testing

Wondering if the subframe has the option to add different bushings like OEM style for street use.

I’m interested in the frame as well but it’s for DD purposes.
Softer bushes is not something i designed it in mind with, because its a modular frame its hard to do anything other then solid bushes. There might be possible and i would need to look at it to confirm this but i could space out the solid bush and place a poly bush at its base as a bit of ease vs solid mounted? I think thats the best i could offer really i think

All what I can say is as soft bushing is better for comfortability.

I don’t drag or anything else, is just my DD and weekend fun car, but I love to keep it clean and work a lot on it, so a tubular subframe will be perfect when working under the car and reaching hard bolts to loose or tight and that without saying when it comes to clean the engine bay.

I understand dude, i dont know how much it will differ from solid to a poly spacer type washer as a base but i guess it wont translate as much noise and offer some softness at least

Curious if you have a time frame until you offer something like this?

I totally would like to have the option to interchange bushings. Is there a reason why you wouldn't like solid bushings? If your worried about vibration, use factory motor mounts or poly. I have solid mounts. And it vibrates a ton a lower rpm.

Time frame no, just when ever i am done and happy with the end result and i can also replicate it well. Every thing is tricky due to space so i have to make sure i get it right. Im on another test fit today so shall see what happens then.

As for bushings if i find a nice poly washer i can use as a connection between the solid bush thats something i can do per job as my jig i have made is designed for solid mounting but i always install spacers so i can make new spacers to allow the difference in height needed for a poly washer. Also means i would have to have special inserts re machined since i have already designed everything already to be solid mounted LOL, you guys make me work hard dont you!!! Haha

I shall post oics up later of my design and you will see why its tricky

Testing the revised/revised/revised subframe again, got it pretty good now and just a few small tweeks and i think i have it done! Hopefully. I need to finish up the design for the steering rack mounting and im going to redesign the arb mounts and brackets i think.

I did a video but it wont upload using the button below so i may have to go through youtube for it.
I just wanted to show the modular section thats removeable and some of the bushes inserts which are alloy and will take up alot of the chassis bolt length and stop them from collecting crud and dirt in it as much

Some good news today! I revised the subframe (again) and now it all works and fits perfectly well, no hitting anywhere! The tricky part was always the gearbox area but thats not an issue no more! Bokting it up was nice and easy ( the lack of weight helps )

Next up is to modify a jig for bar locations and then i am going to plod on and make an actual subframe from scratch again and get it all welded up.
Going to also redo the arb mount and make my own bracket from billet as i want all of it to be my design and not use 1 oem part (might aswel do it all my way while im at it)

I opted to use a clamping system for the passenger side as its strong and removes the rubber. I got the idea from work as we make a clamp similer, i used its basic design for this application.

When i revised the design i had to make it different as i didnt like how it was going looks wise and needed a way to liven it up with working well and adding strength so this was how i managed to come up with what i have now.

I like it alot more now and happy but took many hours to come up with this and be happy as the end result.

I have yet to weigh this but its on my list to do but I have to finish the llwer brace / crossmember mounting yet before i do this.

So enjoy the pics and let me know what you think or any questions on it.

Please, just consider all of us Daily Drivers, just keep us on mind

Very nice I’m anxious to see it all together., No doubt you are good on what you do,.

The rack being a clamp instead of a rubber has little to no effect as the drivers side is hard mounted anyway so all i am doing is taking away a bit of movement from the rubber.

The arb bracket wont do anything different, it will still use the oem arb and rubber, its mearly just making it look better and to my liking/design more then anything

Got you, excuse my ignorance, not so knowledgeable when it comes to suspension even being addict at it..
Hey man its totally cool, i do not mind explaining my logic behind my design and thoughts on it etc. I ways welcome questions

Would these fit the AWD model as well Bobby?
It will yes. The front frame on the 2G is the same for gst and gsx, the only difference is the 420A model which rear mounting location is different and alot smaller arb but other then that its stamped the same

Ok. wasnt sure if the clearance on the FWD gear box was the same as the AWD gear box. Or if there would be any clearance issues around the transfer case area

The auto box is the biggest box due to the diff cover being bigger. The transfer case still fits under the subframe as i have the rack in the oem location and its the lowest part of the area so it will still clear just fine

I bought the frame home again today as i forgot to weigh it and wanted to get an idea once complete.

I had a goal of about 25 lbs total but my gosh i am alot lighter then i thought! So it looks like it will be around the 18Lbs mark! What a result! So i made it lighter then my original design by accident and its still well braced and strong.

Finally managed to upload the video, i kept forgetting to do this, its just to show a brief summary of part of the moduar system of the outer joint for the compression arm.

Was asked the other week if i was able to make some rear lower arms but not the normal kind. These were for a galant VR4 setup, so galant style ARB and droplinks.

At first i didnt know if i had any parts spare from machining to laser cut parts so i had a search in my storage boxes and i had just enough spares. The only thing i did not fully have was my jig complete since i never offered this option for sale i did not complete my jig so this was something i needed to do. It was not hard to do but needed to make left and right equal.

They came out nice and the droplinks are a full setup with a male and female link. They are being coated by the chap they are made for so i just gave them a light blasting and then a spray for anti rusting.

Just something a little different i thought i would post up since no one offered a galant/3G rear lower adjustable lower arm. Figured why not do one.

Cough cough . Bobby's subframe needs to be part of a group buy ;)
I wont be able to do GB's on those. They will be just a per order situation. No way i could do the amount of work involved and shipping etc.
