I'm new to the dsm world and would like to know of any shops that do good work and have good pricing. Would like to know my options just in case I cant do the job myself. I live in California Socal if people are wondering. Thank you guys and have a good day

I would LOVE to see a shop that is a DSM shop. Hell they don't exist in the middle of the country I guess.
Its my shop or NO SHOP for me on these machines. Just gotta understand them and know them. Everytime I think I've seen it all, a new one says "Have you seen this siht yet???"
:ohdamn:

Are they close to his area? I can't see on my phone. They are a reputable shop!
Whalen Speed also.

If you guys can wait about 10 years I'll have my very own DSM speed shop in Reno, first people to book with me get a free full-on service and tune up! :D

I asked this same question years ago. Then, when I discovered how much people charge for labor (and with me being a college kid) I took my own nuts, borrowed a crap ton of tools, and did my own work on the dirt alley behind my place LOL. It was miserable, yes, but damn has it made me proud.

However, I haven't done anything crazy like pulling the block or anything. You'd need a garage for that sort of thing. I don't need homeless people steeling bits and pieces just to hoard for who knows what reason LOL.

What kind of work do you need done? is your car auto or stick? awd or fwd? turbo or non turbo?

As for the work needed done so far what I have found is a really bad power steering leak from the return hose and don't know if I should de power or fix the leak. I also found an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold with a stud that's broken :banghead: at the block.. My car is a stick fwd turbo. I'm sure most if not all of this I can do but just wanted to see if there were options out there for a reputable shop for these cars.
