1G Cracked Fuel Injector Pintle Cap - Will this cause an air leak?

I just got my stock blue top 450cc injectors back from Fuel Injector Clinic and some of the pintle caps are cracked. Will this cause an air leak between the pintle cap and the injector isolator at the intake manifold?
I just emailed them to see if they will send me some new caps. They replaced everything except the caps.

They should not have sent them back like that, I don't go for that, hopefully they just forgot to replace them before shipping them back but for me, that should be the first thing that an injector company does is strip the pintle cap and filter from the injector before doing anything at all to them.
 
I don't think it will give you any leaks but you can order pintle caps, check out this site if FIC can't help.

Thank You for the link! I heard back from FIC. They said this injector makes its seal with the isolator on the metal, not the pintle cap. The red area in the pic below.

The available pintle caps on injector-rehab have a different shape at the base than the original pintles for the 450's. The flat part of the original pintle is more narrow than the other Bosch types.

The Rebuild kit they have listed for the DSM 450's uses the Bosch universal pintle (sku #2-100). There is a note about the black top injector's dual spray pintles not being available anymore.

From what I read on the internets the pinlte cap for this type of injector is only a protective cap. It does not affect the spray pattern or provide a seal.
 
I would agree that the cap has no effect on the spray pattern that I could tell.

FIC got back to me. Looks like they did not have the pintles in stock when they had my injectors in for service. They said the technician said they looked good and it may have gotten busted in shipping. They had the injectors all heat/press sealed up in bubble wrap wedges, laying in a bed of foam cubes. It was perfectly centered in the box when I opened it.
 
Its more likely that they missed it and are now doing a cya job on it, I'm more concerned with a piece of it falling into your intake and holding an intake valve open and bending a valve than what the cap protects, in any case though, its simply not professional when you are an injector service company, you had one job, do it. Its the equivalent of the local tire shop leaving your hub caps off, yeah the car will work without them but they are supposed to be there after all you specialize in tires, you had one job. ya know?
