Use this thread to show off all of the great parts (and cars) you've found at the junkyard!

To get things started, I will show you today's find. I got nearly $1k worth of parts for only $135! All they need is a wash and they're good to go.

Picked this up last week. I was excited to find out I know/knew the previous owner but nobody from ColumbusDSM has contact still. Bought from picknpull. Literally looks like nobody has ever sat in the passenger or rear seats. Zero rust. All the trunk junk including cargo net and privacy cover. Unreal for what I paid. Torn on putting a fmic on because I don’t want to get rid of the fogs.

How good of a deal was it? what pick and pull?

I live 5 minutes away from 2 pick and pull yards. A list of notable stuff I’ve gotten dirt cheap:

Walbro 255
ARP headstuds
Entire black leather interior/dash
Few eprom ecu 1g/2g / 2 black box ecu
Full 2gb talon bumper set side strakes
2ga talon twisty skirts and caps
99 silver cluster for automatic (different from a manual)

These came from a locals car who gave up because he never got it running right, I literally stopped by the yard daily to make sure I got to it first ROFL :

Ipt refreshed valve body with trans lab shift kit
Ipt end clutch kit/basket
1g rebuilt TB
Prothane motor mounts
(All of the stuff right above is currently in my gsx)

I will say the last few years it’s been pretty dry for DSM stuff lately. Especially anything 4g63 related. Anything that hits the yard looks like a skeleton in just a few days. OP, nice find suspension stuff is always picked first at our yards.

That is a good find @BLACK'98DSM . Those ground control sleeve are not cheap.
I took them outside and washed them up real nice, they almost look new. I searched online for the part numbers and they cost $500. Those struts are Tokico brand, and they cost like $100 each. For some reason I only hvae 3 of them, so I'll have to order the 3rd before installing. It's a Megan Racing shifter, probably the $75 one from Ebay. And then a little smoothe bezel to top it all off.

I'll update my build thread once I get everything cleaned up and installed if you guys want to see it. :)

Yea, that's true. I went to this car 2 days after it arrived and somebody already pissed all over the interior. I remember last year I went to look at a Spyder a week after it arrived and the engine bay was completely empty LOL.

As I was in the checkout line, the employee asked where I got them from, and when I told him I got them from the Barcelona Pearl Eclipse he basically kicked himself. He said he was keeping his eye on it, and of course I said too bad LOL.

It's not a junkyard find, but I was searching on eBay about two weeks ago, and I happened to find brand new oem 2gb side skirts (the rocker pieces) and drivers side fender cap. Yes the were BRAND NEW, so I had to snag them up. And I do believe they still have a left and a right for sale, just search up these part #'s and you should see them MR248254, MR248253. The seller I bought from was partsbrokersllc.

Not a car part...but still from a junkyard. While laying under a car something kept pocking me in the back. I took a tire iron and dug it out of the ground. This is what it turned out to be. It is a Mutt & Jeff coin bank made from die-cast metal. Apparently, it is very old and goes for about a hundred bucks on eBay. I gave it to a friend who collects this kind of stuff. Mutt & Jeff was a comic strip back in 1907 before Abbot & Costello.

Lower door trim pieces in excellent condition. I was looking to take something off the car as the rest of it was trashed. By trashed, I mean this poor Talon was filled with animal feces, dirt, etc. I saw these as I was about to walk away, after having little to no luck pulling my originals off I wasn’t very hopeful. Both trims pulled off with relative ease, cleaned up nice, and look really good!

I found a built shortblock back in the day. Only bad part is my dumbass decided to change the oil pump on it to be safe....ended up torching it due to the oil pump I put on taking a dump LOL It sucked. It didn't hurt so much losing $100 vs the cost of it actually being built.

What a find! Put some UV protectant on them regularly. Not sure if that will preserve them but it's worth a shot.

The Neon block I'm currently running came from the junkyard. The only salvageable piece was the block itself. But for $75 and I was replacing most parts anyway, it worked out great. You can see why it was destroyed...

The best thing I've bought so far was an OEM front bumper. :)

Nice car for sure. Is that an evolution behind it?

This is a more recent picture but i bought a 1g dsm intake manifold at a junk yard 80$. Not sure if thats a good price i just know i needed for the setup i was going for. Bigger ports and all.
