Hey I’m new to the DSM game and I have a GST Spyder that’s stock other than a shitty test pipe and muffler that came with the car and an air filter. Now I know I have to do my maintenance but I was just wondering, if I wanted to daily it and still make 300-375hp would 580cc Injectors, Wally 255 and a 16/20g make the power that I’m looking for? Obviously I would buy ARP head studs but what else would I need and does anyone have any suggestions?

Go for 1000cc injectors. I also have a gst spyder. 280/284 cams well worth it. No problems and I run a 20g with a 255 pump

You can make that power on a 16g turbo, it's the supporting mods that will end up costing you. I would read that link and this one
https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/basic-horsepower-ugrades-2g-4g63t.480196/

I am just about to finish my build here in the next couple months, planning to put down 400 whp. Best advice I can give is make a plan, follow the plan, and don't cheap out. Also I would attempt to do most your own maintenance/upgrades to save money and learn how these cars work firsthand. This site has 20+ years of everyone's collective experiences so there is nothing in our cars that is a mystery anymore and you can find a how-to for literally anything you can think of.

I wouldnt recommend cams any larger than 272's anything bigger is simply not necessary and will only add startup issues, idle issues, stalling at stoplights and cause lag for no reason, too many people go way overboard on camshafts for lope and it makes the car miserable to drive on the highway and wastes fuel.

Thanks guys! So I will probably end up going bigger on the injectors. I would love to learn these cars, I lucked out to end up buying a stock one for a good price with no rust so I shouldn’t have to worry about previous hack jobs or anything. Right now it actually runs pretty well, idles without missing a beat. Little bit of lifter tick but goes away after a few seconds on a cold start

I also was wondering where the best place to buy a 20g is? As far as website
Check out the supporting vendors linked down below. Best bets are ExtremePSI, JNZ, and STM. The 20g isn’t as commonly sold as say an Evo 3 16g, or a Billet 68HTA, which would both work for your goals as well and likely be more efficient in that range with better spool. Also check with @JusMX141 - he was rebuilding turbos for years but hadn’t been on in a while so not sure if he’s still doing it.

Looks like FP has a limited run of these right now:

That’s what I’d probably do if I were you.
