For even more budget, anyone use the Evo 8/9 OEM oil cooler as well? :) Tips/experiences?

Thanks!

For reference, the Setrab cooler we used is around $250 by a search I just did. I looked up the part numbers for new Evo 8/9 oil coolers and they're $280/$250 respectively. Now, you could possibly get a used one, but just keep in mind that if anything went wrong with the engine, you could have some foreign material in the cooler than you're just not going to get out. So if you do decide to look for a used one, purchase wisely.

Purchase very wisely.
I would never use an oil cooler without knowing where it came from, you would be asking for trouble.
Buy new.
Very good points guys! It's from a friend locally who upgraded to a bigger cooler for track, so should be alright.

Btw, with an Evo 8 oil filter housing (which only has the 2 3/8" BSP but not the extra 1/8" BSP port), I can still run an oil pressure sensor like the Autometer 2246 for DSMLink right?

I have an evo 8 OFH I plan to use........is there any reason why I cant drill/tap the housing in the exact location where the 9 OFH has the extra port? I'd like to log oil psi after the swap. Obviously I'd have to clean it thoroughly after tapping.......thoughts?

Can this port be used for turbo oil feed?
Out of this thread alone where did you magically figure out this was a hole to use and a good question to ask?? It states the holes and how many can be used at the start of the thread!!

To be fair, it does look like some of the pictures were lost during the shuffle a few years back. @Ludachris , any way to recover these?
