Hello all, good to see the forum is still alive. I have been a member since 02, but have been radio silent for probably a decade. Between starting my own business, and a family the ol dsm has taken the back burner. She’s been jack stand ballin since 06 (I think, may have to look at the tag to verify) but the good news is I have one more vehicle to buy for my youngest and then I can begin my build. I always dreamt of making her a legit street beast (full interior, a.c. etc.) and finally have the means to do so. I still have a closet full of parts I have been slowly buying for a while now, just chomping at the bit to get started. I will start a build thread the day I pull the cover off and break the first bolt loose. I wonder how many old timers are still around? Anyway, hope everyone is having a blessed year, and I’m super stoked to see the forum is still alive!

Good to hear, welcome back, I’m new hear and it’s good to have people come back!
Thanks man, been a long strange trip. Been turning wrenches on other people’s rides for a while, it will feel good to work on my own for a change .

Welcome back! I just recently returned from years of radio silence as well. I'd bet there's probably a good few of us just hanging on to our cars for the right time to get back to work on them. At least I hope there is :)
Yeah, I was kinda scared that the aftermarket parts would go the way of the dinosaurs before I got back into the game.

Super glad to have all of you guys finally coming back to the good old tried and true DSMTuners forum!
Welcome back!!! Help us all out with your experience.
Marty

I left for about 10 years. I'm a much better mechanic than I ever was back then. It won't be the same experience as the first time because we all change and our goals change.

Almost 15 years on jack stands is crazy, but glad you hung on to it all this time. Aftermarket support is a little slim pickings compared to when I started into DSMs just ten years ago, but there’s still enough out there to make a street monster or drag strip beast. Welcome back!

Not gonna lie, I’ve missed this place!

Welcome back sir! I was going to call you neighbor, but your past Lexington...close enough, haha
Hey man, I’m in the Lexington area all the time. Not a super fan of bigger cities, but Lexington (and Nashville) have always been special places. Now Louisville on the other hand...

Yeah, really crazy when I stop to think about it. FWIW I occasionally go out to the garage, crack a beer, and make spooling noises while I sit in the driver seat. Throw the cover back on her, pat her roof, and say “soon...soon”.

I've heard great thing about Nashville. It's a place to visit on my bucket list.

That's like something I did when I was 15 and dreaming LOL. Ahhh, the memories.

EDIT: I did not drink beer when I was 15 :shhh:

I do and I'm no teenager! That's some funny shit from @TSIAWDTalon .
Thanks for the laugh and reality check! ROFL

Love it. Glad we could provide a place to come back to. The alternatives out there aren’t great. Let’s see that progress start soon!

Man, having Luda respond to my post feels like I’m more important than I think I am. This place was a home for me in the early days of the interwebz. Glad I’m still welcome.

Dude I remember you! You damn near as old as I am (maybe more). Glad to recognize a screen name!

Guess it's time to see how the DSM crowd is kicken now a days. Still have my 95 GST. I run it for a few months in the summer then put it away. To be honest got bored and I'm currently in a "German phase" playing with Audi's. But on those nice summer days I always go for a drive with the Eclipse. When it comes to the twisty's it's just so much more fun to toss a lighter car around the corners!
I started getting weekly email updates from DSMTuners a few months ago and was like, hey haven't been here in some time I'll have to check em back out again sometime. Then received this post and reminded me of back in the day again.
So I'll bet your post will have a few more of the old farts lurkers club start creeping back out from the shadows. :)
