Hey guys,

I am currently trying to buy a VRSF intercooler and they have options for BOV flanges including 1g,greddy/HKS/ and tial.

I have a Evo 9mr BOV that I would prefer to keep. So the diameter of the Evo 9MR BOV is 1.25" according to the internets. From what I can find online the 1g BOV diamater is 1 1/8".

I have found an Evo BOV adaptor for HKS flanges that is a metal coupler that reduces 1.25" to 1", so I think it is safe to assume most HKS BOV's are 1"

I have not been able to find anything on Tial diameters

Has anyone else tried coupling a VRSF intercooler with an Evo 9M BOV? If so how did you get it to work? I am thinking worst comes to worst I will just select the 1G BOV flange and ask my friend to CNC a coupler for me

VRSF units have a screw on flange for the BOV that you use. I have an adaptor, that screws onto the BOV tube on the UICP so I can use NGR type BOV's or I can screw the DSM flange back on and use that type of BOV. I recently purchased a new UICP for a TIAL BOV and it is the only one that doesn't unscrew from the pipe.
Didn't know if you knew that or not. Not sure what the footprint of the EVO BOV looks like tho.

Check out some adapters on amazon. I know you can buy an Evo to Greddy, or Evo to 1G adapter. Mount that flange to flange. Then use the Evo side and a hose to put the BOV you have on. Its a little crude, but I have seen it done that wav before. Or get a flange that matches whatever you choose on the IC pipe, and have it welded to your BOV.

Tial Is is 50mm inner diamiter, the flange ID is 1 7/8 and OD about 2” I have an evo, but it didn’t come woth an oem bov so I dont think I can help on that part, I just know they arent amazing. If you need a deal on a TiAL Q or QR let me know! I’m A TiAL dealer!

What isn't amazing about the Evo 9MR BOVs? I just bought it because its direct replacement for 2g plastic ones. I will be running a holset HX35 to about 35 psi max

Having screws will help though that isnt something the sales rep for VRSF talked about.

Although now I am thinking I might have to read up more on BOVs. I brushed them off as non-essential upgrades

I'm actually in the same boat looking to get the same setup also with an Evo 9 BOV. I was planning on getting the 1G/Gredyy BOV Flange option because I already have a 2G to 1G/Gredyy BOV Flange adaptor. On my current setup, what I did was flip the adaptor so that the two flange surfaces could be gasketed together, and then connected the 2G parts together with a hose. It's a little awkward to look at but it gets the job done for now.
