Looks can be deceiving!
Doesn’t look too bad though but now I see something is up with the front end.
It has strut tower rust on both sides. Knowing that going in I am expecting more rust, but did not bother looking for it when buying it because the price had me either way. The engine purrs nicely. I now have two 6 bolts and two 7 bolts. That's 26 bolts! .

Dang. But it looked clean in the pics anywaySo today I noticed that about half of the clear coat on the hood has water between it and the paint. It is strange as can be. Certainly a sign that some poor rework was done at some point.
If I push down in the middle of the hood I can see water flowing thru half of the hood surface. It was trippy.

Does it have the leak detection pump? Does it have fog lights? Does it have power mirrors?Side note: you can see the parts car (kinda) in my avatar. Its a 420a automatic with a rod knock and strut tower rust holes. I sold off about $900 worth of parts so far. It still has a LOT of stuff on it, otherwise it would be headed to the crusher. I paid $170 for it.
It's part of the evap system. If you get under the car and look between the gas tank and the trunk it should be there.I have no idea what the leak detection pump is. I assume emissions equipment? Yes, it should be on there I guess...
