Not bad for 110 compression :p. That camera makes things look kinda wavy LOL

It’s my iPhone and urethane mounts make everything shake inside. Lol I want a GoPro but then I end up putting that money into the car. :talon::hellyeah:

That makes 2 of us that want a GoPro from Santa Tony!!!!!
I drove my 1gb to work today for a change, drove my 1ga GSX yesterday for the first time, to work. Out of the blue, I have a 6th gen Camaro Convertible wanting to hot rod on the 4 lane highway......WTF?
Do these cars look intimidating or something? My son asked me "How bad did he walk you?" (the GSX is stock except for the HKS cams, so far).
I said "WALK???? He didn't pull at all!!!" ...........hence me driving the MONSTER to work today, in anticipation but the Camaro was a no-show! :sneaky:

Haha nice!! I’m always looking for cars to race and I rarely come across one. In my few thousand miles of driving my car, think I’ve had a total of 4 or 5 races. On the B 16g, I pulled on evo x and a mustang (don’t know which one, there’s so many of them). Fiesta ST, we were dead even. Lastly, a blacked Camaro and I were staged at a red light. I can hear his cam and smell his race fuel. I’m on launch control as I can see the light in the other direction changing. I got out on him and then I felt his wrath. That thing was probably a 9 second street car. I felt his power as he past me and I was in awe and my wife started laughing at me. Lol. Can’t wait to see what she’ll run with the new set up.

Go BIG or GO HOME :thumb:
Juice her up Tony and then go "hunting" again. In my Red Talon, I was not afraid to play with anyone on anything, including the bikes that like to play, since nobody else will play with them!

Your red one is a beast IIRC by the log you sent me. The looks on bikes when you pass them...priceless! :tease:

I put all of the Red car goodies into the Blue auto car. Red car gets bigger cams, JMF intake, 63mm TB, and Bosch 2150's as soon as I can get the head surfaced.

Go big or go home!!! I’m looking at Bosch injectors as well. Read good things about them and they’re priced well. Sucks that I bought 1000cc thinking i was going to keep the b16g on corn juice. Then splurged on the 68hta so now I need bigger. Ugh!! :banghead:

Are you running E tony? I can't wait to feel an extra 100-150hp with some good fuel. My best fuel is 91 octane currently. The car will really wake up when I get a chance to transport 25-50 gallons back home from my ex-wifes local gas station, (they carry E85) 90 miles away :ohdamn: and up the timing from 9 to 19* :thumb:

Not yet Marty. That was the plan until I got the 68hta. Wow you’re only at 9*. I was at 16* on the b16g with zero knock. With the new set up I’m at 13* with occasional knock at 26 psi so I might have to bring it down a few degrees until she’s on corn.

After getting a crappy set of “new” injectors that were leaking, I went ahead and just purchased a new set of Bosch 2200 injectors and had them flow tested by FIC.

It’s not too bad but this is what I see from the engine bay. Why not paint and clear?

It was painted already by shep when it was built. I have the receipt and think it was in 2010

Yeah looking at the closer pic,I can see that it has already been hit with paint. You dont really have a choice without a full tear down at this point so proceed......... The reason I said this is because the amount of prep work that would go into a proper paint job on a trans, that will hold up and look good and NOT peel inside a year is insane. Almost unmanageable. I also hate to see all the bolts hammered, and the RTV from between the case sections as well.........ya know........

Ive been obsessed with anything trans related for the last 12 months. Ive beeen hoarding and building good units. I will post up some pics so you can see the difference.

Yeah I know the best and proper way is to tear it down and really get it clean especially in the crevasse and under the bolts. I just put a coat of clear so hopefully it last a little longer. Just went over it with a wire wheel where I can and used sandpaper by hand in areas that needed cleaning.

It’s not a show car but I’m willing to put some elbow grease so I’m happy when I open the hood and/or work on it.

Ohh for sure, I think we all want to like what we see when we open the hood...............even if it was a show car your good. It will look fine for a while.

Is that a crack in the gear cluster housing? ( next to the bolt to the right in front diff area)

It is but it never leaked. I noticed that when I was prepping it. Dang shep trans needs to invest in a torque wrench
