I know some people like the wingless look. Some don't. Some like the highrise, blah blah blah. Personally, I picture my car without the highrise spoiler and adding a duckbill something like this, and wondering if any companies out there make something similar. Looks pretty badass if you ask me and I think it'd make a 2g look totally awesome. I know it's a Ferrari, but it's the spoiler type that I'm talking about. Thoughts???

Probably the closest thing out there right now is the Carbonetics Carbon Fiber hatch:

That looks awesome. Wish it went a bit higher though so it doesn't look so....wingless. And sure it'd be more functional as well.

That's more of the m3 style I think your looking for the bys duckbill only problem is I don't think they make it for 2g it be nice if someone could get a hold of them and have them make dsm parts

Guess I may just have to try and make one myself. Maybe out of fiberglass but gotta learn how to do fiberglass first. I've been looking and looking and looking at my car and trying to figure out the best design method and I think that something the looks similar to the stock highrise spoiler would be best. Only maybe make it 2 inches shorter (6 inches high versus 8 inches) and fill in all the open area. Gonna be some trial and error involved though I think.

Awesome. I'd rather have someone else make it who does this sort of thing on a daily basis versus myself, but I will if I have to. But I wonder what type of info they'd need. I mean I'm sure they don't have a dsm just sitting around at the shop to take measurements off of. And giving them dimensions is one thing, but to try and give dimensions of the curvature of the hatch so that it fits to exact specs is another. Hmmm....

That hatch looks like it would be a great start. From there, go with a polished sheet metal spoiler riveted directly to the back angle side on the hatch. The old school nas car look!

Any chassis fabrication shop SHOULD have the knowledge and resources necessary to make a functional one out of aluminum.

I kinda figured other people might like this idea other than just me. Lol.

I've been looking at some fabrication videos on YouTube. Some for fiberglass and some for carbon fiber. Either is fine with me, but I'm scared of trying to fasten it down and it either crack the material or the spoiler come flying off. I like the aluminum spoiler idea but I'd wanna have mine painted to match.

I actually found a fabrication forum and joined. However because of funds, it might be a little while before I actually get anything done. For anyone who looked at my side exit exhaust thread, you'd know it took me a LONG time to get it done. This might be the same for me, but I'll make it happen...eventually.

Any update on this? I would love to have one like the blue talon except a little bit taller.

Im down group buy coming soon?[DOUBLEPOST=1408726433][/DOUBLEPOST]
Here's one from Instagram. Love his car
Thats beautiful i like that matte black look, hope we get a choice between that or carbon fiber.

Have fun with your Carbonetics group buy. (Hint: I suggest you make your own molds over working with Carbonetics)

Sorry, this is an old thread, but Carbonetics sells a widebody kit for the 2G, and I sent a message asking if they can just make the duckbill spoiler. I don't know if that's the style everyone else is looking for, but that's the style I've been looking for for a long time. Hopefully they can make just the spoiler for me, but if not they also sell a CSL spoiler that looks pretty sick too!

It's been a while but I remember asking the same question. He said to me he would make the duckbill separately. I'm not sure if I remember correctly but he made it seem like you had to get the CSL hatch as well.

How is the CSL spoiler not a duckbill variant? it looks like most Duckbills I have seen where it just gets riveted onto the corner of the hatch. I have one for a 2008 M4 sitting around that looks exactly like the carbonetics one, but alas its too wide for our cars.

I still am sitting on the fence about whether or not I want to order from him given his crazy timelines. I don't even know if any of his stuff is functional or purely for show.

Also I plan on talking to a wing manufacturer in Vancouver BC in the not too distant future about building me a more updated version of the high rise boomerang spoiler with gurney flaps and sharper lines... call me crazy but the more I look at it the more I like the Boomie- It will cost lots more than $300 tho
