Guys, I've been looking and was wondering if anyone has the parts numbers for the Evo 2-4 gear sets for my trans rebuild I'll be having done this winter? Also is there anything I can do to my transfer case as an upgrade or are they good in stock form? I already have my 4 bolt rear swap ready to go on. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure there are other parts i will need so please include those as well. I honestly know very little about transmissions so be easy on me LOL

It starts here: https://www.jackstransmissions.com/blogs/pages/what-gear-set-do-you-have

once you know what you have you can decide whats best.

Someone correct me if Im wrong but the best thing to do with that 90 trans might be to clearance for double sychros in what gears really need it and send it. Those 90 gears are strong. If thats what you have.

There is a page with all the evo part numbers around here somewhere.

The transfer case can be completely upgraded to the 300m shaft, and a billet cover and brace for it, Magnus motorsports sell's some upgraded parts for it as do a few other companies.

Wow alot of smart asses here. As much as I appreciate a good laugh and even though the forum states to add value to a post and be respectful a transmission is about the only thing I havent ever messed with. I have a transmission and trans case out of a 93 so I'm not upgrading my stock 90 22 spline. Simply asking what are some transmission upgrades I can do. To clarify this isnt a drag car. I have been reading about some guys upgrading their 2-4 gears for those out of an evo. So unturned to here for some advice. Thanks in advance for any help guys.

Yes, last year (I think), Tim ran an ad for the LAST of the EVO gearsets and I haven't heard of anymore being found. I have a line on a GVR4 trans and it is geared different but it isn't quite as strong.

Other posts are correct. Evo stuff is gone. You will be scouring used parts sites if you want some.
About the best you can hope for with stock parts is a solid stock rebuild. I've seen way way too many people with a "good trans" that had .050 play in the shafts. Differential parts and picking the strongest stock gearsets may be your only easy option. All others will require some searching or aftermarket expensive stuff

And they say to search as well. All the the questions you have asked have been asked and answered very frequently - almost daily. If you want to build a trans you better get too it. After the last few parts orders I have put in, I would consider ALL DSM transmission parts discontinued. They are not yet, but at the rate they are going it will be soon. If your going to be playing with stuff, better get a 1/2 hub slider and synchros ordered, as that seems to be the #1 part that is worn beyond use in every trans I touch. I am working on a way to remanufacture them, but need time.

Evo 3 gearsets are essentially gone. They wouldn't work with your 90 trans anyways.

DSM 3rd/4th hub and slider is gone. Center diff upper and lower pinion shims are gone. 90 gears are mostly gone.

Bearings and synchros are still mostly available, but more difficult to get 90 style 5th and reverse synchros. Shift rails are gone. Shift forks are available.

We are nearing the end of the line on a lot of parts. My staged rebuilds are coming to an end for OEM style rebuilds.
