Hey guys like the title says I'm new to the forum. Been trying to rebuild a 95 eclipse that I hit a deer in last December and have been getting into a lot of stumps. I'm hoping that I can get help form here on things I dont know about or would even think to even look at.

Welcome to the forums! Try navigating around the site a bit, you'll get used to it pretty quick. Also be sure to try the search function before making new threads.

Glad to see that you're rebuilding the car after the accident instead of giving up on it! Also glad to see someone else taking car of a N/T!

Good luck!

Hey, Sad for your luck on getting hit by the deer. I also was hit by one. These 2 large ones were trotting thru the yards next to the country road i was driving to work on, in my '97 spyder. First one kinda started heading my way; both acting like they were trying to race me. First one takes a sharp right, right into the path in front of me, so i downshift and braked. It hurdled my car (a near miss) and then the second one (playing follow the leader) timed it's leap wrong and ended up dusting middle of my hood. Ended up only denting the hood a tad; but f'd up my cruise control.

Hell man sorry to here about that. When I had the the deer it completely damaged my radiator support, hood, bumper, driver side fender, headlight, and wind shield. So far I've got everything except the radiator support and headlights

You might be able to get those from Miller Import Parts, here....
https://www.millerimportparts.com/
They part out DSM's all of the time so it would be worth giving them a call or an email.
Welcome to the forum and best of luck. Watch out for those "Jumping horses with horns" which is what I used to tell the kids when they were little, about the deer crossing signs here in Kansas. They are EVERYWHERE!!!!

Yea, i was lucky, so was my 2G. I sure don't have the kind of patience it would take me to fix 'All That' kind of damage.
After hitting that thing; all i could think of was "Oh damn, please just let me make it to work, and i'll call a wrecker, once i get there." Then about a mile from the scene, i pulled into a gas station, to check the damage. It had knocked the hood up, so i opened it and checked for leaks in the radiator; No Leaks. Drove another 6 miles to work... and checked again; No leaks. And then at lunch time i took a rubber mallot under the hood and knocked a football size dent, out. Raised and lowered the hood a few times, to assure, that it would latch securely. I'm sure i said a few prayers, along the way, as well.
I couldn't believe my luck. The only damage was to the cruise control thingy. Still need to fix that; hopefully soon. That is, after i get around to locating and fixing the clutch and brake leaks.
