Looks like a 100% ebay purchased parts build. Hell you can even see in the photos how the "rev9" manifold bolt holes aren't centered over the port. I've had 2 of these manifolds in my shop and they were both drilled wrong and had an offset partially blocking exhaust ports because of it. Mishimoto is being proudly displayed, along with Corbeau... 2 of the most basic-bi***-build parts companies out there. It seems to me, EVERY expense was spared, or reduced in this "build".

That's a $3000 car, all damn day. I suspect they just added a zero by accident.

In the past it supposedly sold at the BJ auction for 8800. My understanding is that its the current owner looking for over 40k

I spent less than 30 seconds acquiring this useless knowledge so it could be wrong. Made me laugh though.

Seems highly opinionated. You just like 1gs more which isn't a bad thing but the current fastest dsm is a 2g so doesn't mean you're knocks on the rear diff and avenger interior are biased.

Either way 30k for that car is hilarious.
You can build either one of them to be fast. Boostins car did away completely with the stock 2g rear end setup that bolts the pumpkin to the subframe with 3 bolts. They have a custom cromoly subframe with a 3000gt rear end.

Collectors don’t buy modded cars anyway.

I’m also getting 1200+ horsepower out of stock 6-bolt cranks. Try that with a 7 bolt crank, it’ll break at the 4th rod journal.

Does everyone who owns a dsm try to build a 1200hp car? Because I never had and likely never will. I still feel you're just biased because you like 1gs more.

Name a mechanical attribute that is better on a 2g, that provides a measurable increase in strength or performance.

Isn't that beyond the point? The only thing you're trying to prove is the power ability is much higher and better for 1gs. Not everyone is trying to build a ridiculously fast car, some people just like one body style over another. In your case it's clear as day you prefer the 1g chassis. it's obvious I prefer 2g dsms and I don't feel the need to defend them to the death like you are. Both are cool and each have their percs.

I hope your right. This car is driving distance from me. I noticed this car popped up in my CL feed the other week, I debated going to check it out. I'd love to ad a clean 1G to the fleet.

I've always wondered what would happen if you did the opposite.. So posting a $3000 car but forgetting a 0. If someone offered you the $300 would you have to accept? I'm assuming if the poster is a dealership then they would have to honor it but on CL I would imagine it would be easy to get out of.

Something like that did happen with a Nissan GTR years ago. Dealership forgot to set a reserve and a guy won the car for like $50k less than the MSRP or something like that. They fought tooth and nail to not honor the deal.

There are some who would argue that the suspension design used on the 2G makes it better suited for building up a road race car... but then again, the 1g chassis is known to be far more rigid. Plenty to debate about. Everyone can argue different points about which one makes the better starting point, or which one is the most desirable, but nobody should get defensive about it here. We're all family.

I love all them and have had every 90’s turbo mitsu sold in America. The 2g Dsm guys are just fun to poke. Same with evo 8+ owners.

But in the end we’re all the same dysfunctional family of weirdos obsessed with 20+ year old Mitsubishi’s.
