Some extra parts came with the evo3 intake manifold.
Please see attached.

My findings show the OEM Mitsubishi part as a igniter module for a kawasaki.
Does this part perform a function on the evo3?

What is the HKS part number?

Thank you for your time.

The HKS Profec is an old boost controller.
I do see what looks like an anti-lag setup though, which is strange because it wasn't available on the III. It would divert air from the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold, giving a bit of a puff when the throttle was released, to keep the turbo spinning.

That's not antilag; it's the EGR setup on the old EVOs. Both the vacuum actuator assembly and the metal pipe with banjo bolt were EVO 3 EGR parts and can be scrapped.

EDIT: I guess it's like antilag but in reverse?

Thanks for the replies gentleman.

I have read extensively on the EVO 3 intake manifold/tb’s etc. and I’m certain these are from an EVO 3. Pictures attached are the intake all the parts came off of.

My question was more so geared toward the control module and HKS part.
Thank you.

@randman2011
Thanks for the info, and informing me I can toss the parts.

FWIW I will be plugging the EGR with an M16x1.5 Bolt and using a 7mm English Racing Phenolic Spacer. Possibly 2 OEM baskets if leaks develop.

@delta448

I’m just looking everything over and trying to determine why this part is here. Could it be for a boost gauge?

Thank you for your time.

Those parts are to activate and control the EVO 3's secondary air system externally (Mitsubishi rally anti lag) or homemade drag anti lag with EVO 3 parts. Most likely the previous owner of the intake manifold tried to make it.
The red circle is a Greddy/Trust Profec boost controller. The green is stock parts of the SAS that came with EVO 3. The blue is probably some motorcycle's igniter to make sparks in exhaust manifold/turbine housing intensionally instead of using the heat from turbine. Unsure of the HKS part, need more pic.
As for the SAS, check my comments #13 and #16 in the link below.

I didn't see those pics. I think the HKS part is a MAP sensor that was a part of CAMP junction box 1.
