Hasn’t worked for some time now. It’s been over a year at least for me. I’ve tried firmware request and nothing so I just ignore it

Dang it! Would be a nice feature if it worked. Thanks man!

I asked about this at least 2 years ago over on the link forum. Thomas replied and said he was glad to see people actually used it and that he'd get it working again, but I'm sure they've got bigger things going on.

Edit: this is from Thomas in 2016-
'First, I have to admit that I'm happy to see that feature actually gets some use by someone. I really forgot it was even there with laptop and desktop screen space so large now.

Second, yes, it appears to have been broken with the last update. We switched to a (much) newer Java VM and, honestly, I just assumed everything worked the same. I didn't even bother testing stuff like that. Which is kind of amazing, really, that this and some pre-Mac OS 10.7.3 issues might be the only two issues. We basically jumped ahead 10+ years on the Java side of things!

Anyway, it appears that the easiest fix for this also happens to fix the older MacOS issue as well. Basically, I'll revert back to JRE 1.6, recompile everything and re-release.

Thanks for letting us know!"

I have been using it on linux for a few years and always thought it was just broken on that platform.. "glad" to hear i am not missing out on anything being non-windows..
but sucks that it doesnt work anywhere.

So it seems like Tom knows the fix but never got around to it???

I thought they closed the door on further development for either ecu, even new features nevermind full releases..

I wouldn’t be surprised if they stopped support for dsm’s completely since the size of the market shrinks every year. How many of us are on here, a few thousand? Then maybe another thousand or so that aren’t. On top of that, how many of us have link? Dwindling market will be the end and I’m glad I have V3.

Its FAR from dying. Its growing if anything. Its FAAARRRR from a dwindling market. I don't know where you're assuming this from LOL

I live in reality, not fantasy :D. If dsm's are a growing market, why are they still worth next to nothing? A lot of oem parts are discontinued. Don't know the number, but a certain percentage is being junked, or parted out every year. I'm lucky to see 3 dsm's in a year here in Cincinnati and that's no exaggeration.

I've only seen one GST around here. Not a single GSX. Seen like 4 N/T's but two were the ones I cut up at the junkyard and two looked damn close to ending up there as well. Btw I'm speaking of 2g's, I don't recall ever seeing a 1g around here.

There was also a post not that long ago about the shrinking numbers attending the shootout every year. Sooooooo...

I've seen 2 1g's in 15 years living here. Both clapped out, 1 nt and one gsx on it's last leg.

Parts are discontinued cause they are almost 30yr old cars LOL They also hold their value. Shootout wasn't a dud this year. New parts are getting made for them still, there is still a good market. IF you think theyre dying. Look up AWD Army on Facebook....they had a DSM takeover recently LOL It was hilarious honestly....it being a majority Subi/Taurus/Audi group

Only the select special few.
I've sold all my DSMs for the same price today as I did a years ago. But then again, I don't sell junk. Im not talking about the overpriced duct taped and zip tied together ones full of Ebay parts LOL
