I was wondering your experience with solid diff bushings in more of a daily driver car. I have read other threads where people installed solid diff bushings and noticed increased noise and vibrations especially on decal.

I am looking to install poly rear subframe bushings and refresh the driveshaft this winter and I am wondering your opinion on solid diff bushings vs new oem diff bushings. Are solid too much for a daily driver? Did you feel or hear a difference if you have installed the solid bushings? If I replace with oem are those good for up to 450 to to the wheels on a daily driver that drag races and autocrosses around 10 times a year...

When I replaced my front subframe bushings with solid bushings and front suspension with poly I was bracing myself for increased noise and vibrations, however, to my pleasant surprise, there was none, only significantly better handling and road feel in my cars build. Just wondering your opinions and experience here. I understand every application and build are different, so I just want to hear peoples experiences here.

Thanks

Difference in bushings from frame to diff is 1 has moving parts and the other dont.

Im not awd so cannot comment but i made some solid bushes for my dailys resr trans mount and right away i could hear the rotation speeds through the car and it sounded like a dog box and was annoying for a daily and very loud might i add. I took it out and went back to a rubber and kept the front more solid and low noise now,

So on anything that has a moving part attached will generally send them noises through like the diff for trans,

My advice for a daily is to use the delrin or a plastic type which is sold on here by another freelancer i believe (i forget which one) gsxdude i think (correct it was just searched) https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2g-pom-3-piece-differential-bushing-set.519135/

I think this might be the better option for you as a daily used car

Thanks for input, those look great for the diff actually, exactly what I am looking for! I will contact GSXDude.

I was looking at delrin for my carrier mounts from torque solutions as they make the carrier bearing mounts from that material and then poly subframe mounts, then if I could get a set of those mounts from gsxdude, that should be a good set up that works well for my build and goals.

Does the delrin carrier bushings transmit alot of vibration?
