I’m new to the scene and in search of Fuel Injectors as two of mine aren’t working. I’ve gone to STMtuning and a few other sites and can’t seem to find 450cc manual Injectors anywhere.

I see that autozone has some remans but only automatic.

Will automatic injectors work on a manual vehicle? (Probably a stupid question)

From what I know about the vehicle, there’s a 20G Turbo, a down pipe and some kind of after market fuel pump (not sure what size) and the injectors appear to be stock 450cc.

please help with any info you can.

For 1g DSMs, turbo auto injectors are a different size than the 450cc turbo manual injectors and will absolutely not work. All 2g turbo injectors are 450cc but I don't know how different they are electrically. Those might work for getting it running, but you absolutely need larger injectors to utilize that turbo. Even modest boost on a 20g can outflow what the 450ccs can put out. Do you know if the car has any kind of tuning solution yet? If so, you may be better off stepping up to larger injectors now. If not, I do have a bag full of stock 2g turbo injectors but they've been sitting for a bit so they may need cleaned.

The car does not appear to ECMLink or Jackal. Do you think that the 20G turbo and the boost could be the cause of the current injectors going bad?

Why did you conclude the injectors were bad? That's a rare occurrence. The turbo and/or boost would have nothing to do with the injectors and would not make them go bad. I would put up a WTB ad on the site and I'm certain someone will sell you a set.

The turbo should not have any effect on the injectors, they may just need pulled out and cleaned or replaced. They are cheap if you look in the classifieds or like @randman2011, looks like you could grab a extra set from him. You will need a tuning solution to get to the point of a daily driving reliable car.
Some 1g guys (including me) have went with a 2g MAF, 16g turbo and EVO 560 pink top injectors and had a half ass tuned car. Not really tuned but matched up about as good as you can without a tuning solution.
Glad to have you on the forum, so WELCOME!!!

Edit: Sorry to Vegas, was typing the same thing at the same time.

A buddy connected his Launch x431 to the vehicle and it gave three codes, two were for the injectors and 1 was the maf sensor because of the injectors.

Not sure if that means they were bad or just not functioning properly.

Could you explain to me what a WTB is?

I’m thinking I’m going to get ECMLink but am not entirely sure how sending the ECU off works to get the proper adjustments made for the equipment to work properly.

Thank you for the welcome boss. I am happy to be here and happy the support exists.

How much for the bag of injectors boss? Just in case my issue can’t be rectified via cleaning.

Ah, thank you. I am going to look into getting them cleaned but I am also going to purchase the injectors from the user above just in case my issue can’t be solved that way. You’ve helped more than you know and you’re greatly appreciated.

Kevlon, with the guys at ECMLink, you just remove your ECU (and most open it to see if it needs to be socketed for a chip), get with Thomas or Dave at ECMLink and let them know what services you need. They usually can get one turned around in a day or two and have it back on its way to you. You then load up the software onto a laptop (that's what most of us use) or tablet and you will connect to your ECU thru the OBD port with a special cable from ECMLink. Initial settings are available and then you get on here or on their web page and ask for the assistance that you need for any modifications. We all started out new at one time. :thumb:

I'll have to check that the husband didn't throw them away and confirm how many I have (I think six) but if I've still got them I'd give them to you for just the cost of shipping. They're not of any use to me.

^^^ Right there is the perfect example of the type of folks on this great forum!!!! ^^^
You just won't find that in too many places anymore. Hell, I was even digging around looking for my old 450's, but they have went into hiding I guess. I wasn't using mine either.
Thanks @randman2011, for being such a good example of a GREAT member!
