I'm A noob here, I get it so please be nice.(1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD)
I read a lot of the posts on a build like mine, ARP studs with Felpro gaskets are the way to go for head gaskets..
Is this still the way to go? (there has been a couple years from the last post I read)
I just want to make sure this is still the way to go.

It all depends on your goals but ARP studs and a felpro HG is definitely a good combination. You can get the felpro HG on rockauto for about $15.

but a shitty tune or unaddressed or persistent knock and uncontrolled cylinder pressures will pop one right quick, just like a MLS...

so, yeah, if a permatorque goes 9.9 in the quarter, MLS to run 11s or 12s is unnecessary.

Myself and 4 other dsms I tune locally all ran cheapo felpro and regular arps up to 500hp without issue and 30psi. I ran a cometic with O ringed head and L19's and it pushed coolant at 47psi. Currently back to OEM composte, L19's and O ringed head with more protrusion on rings.
