Hi all. Have a 2g Talon tsi. Again it had a fire under hood from rodents so I've had to wire in new fuse box. Also noticed missing cruise actuator and line. Can u drive without? If not what problems does it cause? I plan on doing a delete as this will be a track car. Anywhoo lots of issues to sort out.‍♂️

Finding a Non-cruise 2g throttle cable will be your next hurdle when you decide to go that route.

Yeah its a turbo motor thing. Getting very hard to find the non-cruise cables so thank you very much!

Just an update. So if you wanted to truly delete the full cruise control system on an N/T, then you would need an aftermarket cable. This is because the cable runs through the servo. And the servo cannot be simply pulled off.

I had to add this, because I didn't want to spread misinformation.

Another update LOL.

The cable does not run through the servo. The servo has a separate cable and only puts tenstion on the throttle plate. Therefore, you do NOT have to get an aftermarket cable for the 2GNT's. This is final and correct! LOL

Are you trying to repair the cruise or delete it? If you're trying to delete it then just cap off the vacuum hose port on the intake manifold.

Ya not putting back just delete. Exact location of vent tube as someone has pulled it all off so I'm guessing it's not plugged.

You would be able to hear it sucking air in with the engine running if it was not capped off. Start the car and go to the engine bay and listen. It is somehwere on the backside of the intake manifold. Not that hard to spot, or find
