small update:

so with everything going on between family matters, wedding prep stuff, and other things that have popped up. the car isnt going to make it to shootout this year. havent had time to do much to it. actually had to work on the wifes car last weekend (we put her new intercoooler on while we were at it) . i did manage to get some stuff ordered and it finally got a much needed oil change done too

going to try to get a bunch knocked out this week when i go on vacation. trying to have it ready for an event at the end of september. should give me plenty of time to do so.

Small update:

Got a little bit of work done to the car today. Added the deutsch connector to my wideband to start cleaning some wiring up on this thing. I also got the dash starting to go back in. Little hot so I took a break which ended up being the rest of the day because of wedding planning duties LOL.

well spent most of my vacation relaxing for once. only thing i really got accomplished to the car was getting the dash in and putting the cluster in as well. ran into a snag though as i seemed to have misplaced my little bracket that bolts the center console to the dash. good thing ive have a buddy thats giving me a good condition dash that just so happens to have the piece i need. ill be picking that up Sunday. other than that ive still got to tend to the brake lines (im procrastinating that one LOL) still need to send injectors out to be cleaned, and hopefully get the car re-tuned before September 29th.

small update:

got the intake off of the car so i have more room to get to my proportioning valve. cracked both of those lines to make sure the would come off easy witch thankfully they did.

i lso got rid of some other lines the ran under the car that literally went to nothing LOL.

going to send the injectors off this week to get cleaned and gonna start doing brake lines as well hopefully.

Are you going to h2o at the end of September?
not sure yet. i havent had much time to work on this damn thing with all the other stuff i have going on LOL. between the wedding and getting stuff ready to move into the new house it hasnt left much free time for the car.

im sending the injectors out tomorrow to mike at buschur racing to get cleaned.

Congratulations are in order, I guess???? :applause::applause::applause:

injectors sent off yesterday to mike at buschur racing to get cleaned. weather sunday looks good so i think we are going to tackle the brake lines then. after that its get the rest of the interior put back in and button stuff up to hopefully take it out for some cruising and possibly some more test passes.

injectors came back yesterday. they look so much better. cant thank mike a buschur racing enough for getting these done so quickly.

hoping to get everything ran this weekend as long as nothing else comes up. then i can start putting things back together and get this thing re tuned and try to find a day i can take it to the track for some more seat time.

YAY!!! :thumb: (it was time wasn't it?)
They look like mine did. Crumbled almost. You will like the nocop line, its your friend!!!
You will have piece of mind too.
I have a front wheel bearing job ahead (its pretty bad so no more driving).
Good luck, but you won't need it. Report back on the good, bad and ugly of the brake line replacement. :)
Marty

yea i realized after i got it out even if i tried patching the old stuff it wouldve just started leaking somewhere else eventually LOL. ive already done one flare on the nicopp and seems to be promising. i just hope i dont run into any issues LOL

Rest easy dude. I'm here for ya but you won't need me. It is just time consuming getting all the bends right. :thumb:
I want to know how long it takes. I had help and it was under a 4 hr job if I remember right, and the car was just on stands, my lift wasn't in yet.

i appreciate it marty:thumb: ill have to time myself when i start to see how long it takes me. my car is on jackstands as well. i was trying to find some better looking holders for the lines before i started but not having much luck on them LOL. my try to clean up what i have and make the best of them.

Amazon for some insulated clips to hold them on if you haven't checked. We used the originals.

i think we have some of those here at work. thats what im using for the fuel lines on the car right now. i was trying to find something that would hold both of the lines at once but i cant find anything i like LOL

Damn rust I had to redo my lines all of them brake from calipers to prop valved, and all fuel lines upgraded those to large ones though.
yea ive got all the braided an lines for fuel currently hoping these brake lines dont take too long to get knocked out.

Try looking for sparkplug wire separators and then clip them to the bottom where the old lines were. We used all the old holders tho than rubber vacuum line over it outside the wheel wells and at the tie down points if needed. Also some wire loom "could" be used over the wheel well areas too or in conjunction with rubber insulators.
I tied all of that on the lines with black zip ties on my new lines. Just how we did it, brakes are firmer by far now.
