Hey everyone, new to the dsm scene. Recently bought a 1995 gsx that’d I’d say was mildly built. Shooting for 550hp eventually! Can’t wait to pick some of your brains and gain some knowledge, I’ve been a diesel mechanic for about 5 years now so this is a little out of my realm but I’m ready to learn and build a fun street car!

Welcome to the site! That's is a respectable goal that can be achieved many ways. My favorite way is a large twin scroll turbo setup with a 2.4 dohc swap build. 2.4L are fun street engines.

I like my 2.3 L on the street with a T3 50 trim. ECMlink estimates 480 ft-lbs @ 4400 rpm and 408 HP @ 5500 rpm. it also estimates over 400 ft-lbs before 3800 rpm.

What are your goals for the car? What setup is on it now?

You will need to setup a vehicle profile here on the site. If you ask for help with something and its not filled out - nobody will help. We have to be able to click on your car profile to see what mods might be relevant to your issue.

Also make sure to put the intended usage of the car in the profile. If you are building a street car the advice will be different from someone going full blown drag car.

Welcome and, as always,
Best of luck
