You can manually raise the window by unbolting it from the window regulator. Then it should slide up into the fully closed position, but it wont stay there without a band-aid, or fixing your problem.

It could also be the switch. Try using a bit of extra pressure when actuating the switch. While holding the switch in the up position - wiggle it side to side. If the window moves - your switch contacts are probably in rough shape. You can clean them out by disassembling them (I think - dont remember).

If that doesn't make the window move, you will want to check to see if the motor is getting power while you are actuating the switch. Alternatively you could just power the motor directly from the battery to rule out the possibility of a bad motor.

jiggle the wires going through the door jam while holding the window switch in up position. Sometimes years of flexing that "grommet" and all the wires in it causes them to work harden and break (or partially separate and lose contact). Moving the door again may squeeze them back into contact.

I totally forgot I had to repair exactly that on my old FWD. Give it a try and report back!
Best of luck!
