Is 15 the magic number where a stock ecu starts dumping spark or fuel and shutting the engine down? Any time I get over 14 the engine chokes and fuel or something is cut making my fuel jump to 12 and 13 from a steady 10. At 10 or 12 its perfect. How do u bypass the boost limit without the usual things like a socketed ecu. There not available anymore.

have you upgraded your fuel system and such?

The previous owner has the engine fully built and was running some comp cams stage 2 before breaking a timing belt and putting the stock head back on. I'm not running out of fuel it runs pig rich when u floor it the air fuel bottoms out at 10 and stays there. Once I hit 15lbs the engine sounds like crap and breaks up and the air fuel jumps to 12 and 13 cause the fuel is getting shut off by the ECU. Is there any way around it besides tossing it in the dump for a stand alone.

So you're on a stock ecu?

Tuned or not?

100% stock ecu no logging. My only tuning is a avcr boost control and a fuel cut defender.

15psi on a completely stock engine, intake, 14b and zero boost leaks? i would need to see maf hz before making fuel cut responses, as that is the primary indicator unless you have fuel delivery problems.

The motor is .20 I was told with all the good parts and pistons and arp head studs. It has the mitsu upgraded turbo with a header. 20 psi is very easy to hit my duty cycle is at 70 ish to keep the boost down to 12. I have not looked for boost leaks yet. I will try and hook up the smoke machine at work for evap systems see what I can find. My avcr controller shows me injector pulse and throttle and a few other inputs. Maybe I can catch a video of what happens when the fuel gets cut? Just have to move it from the arm rest to beside the afm and boost under my stereo on a test drive

What is your spark plugs gap? Could be blowing the spark out also check coils and clean your maf my 2g would cut fuel at 16 psi with the stock ecu when you hit fuel cut you know it feels like you hit a brick wall

I tighted the gap to .20 and my coils are unknown it's a coil on plug set up from the previous builder. I had this issue with my first ecu at 5psi the fuel cut out and the factory boost gauge would only read vacuum. I swapped to a second ecu and the gauge worked in the dash and it pulled hard to 15psi. Then it just fell off randomly to cutting fuel again like the first ecu did but at 14 15ish instead of 5. At 12 it runs fine At 8 with my boost control off it's fine as well. I have one more ecu to try but it dose not have the knock board like the other 2

What's a 14b? I have a wide band and I dont keep my foot in it when it cuts out. 11 to 12 is what it hits before I back out.
