Lost my aunt at 62 yesterday to rectal cancer that was found during a routine checkup around April. Stage 3 when found, they tried a cleanse diet of all green stuff for like 8 weeks. She lost a ton of weight (and was already thin), and then they were going to follow up with gene therapy, then surgery, then chemo as last resort. The diet didn't help, cancer got worse. Well, she went back in about 4 weeks ago, and the cancer spread to her liver, chest cavity, lungs, and other spots. Couldn't do surgery or chemo then. They gave her 2 weeks. She went into the hospital last week and was sedated on morphine the last 5 days before passing on 9/11.
