Hello friends.

Can someone here tell me all the Differences between the 2g GSX LSD and open Diff Rear Axles? Different Bar lenght?

The reason why I’m Asking is this:

I want to install the Drive-Shaft-Shop 650hp Rear Axles on my DSM with Evo Clutch type rear diff.

https://www.driveshaftshop.com/impo...ly-axles-650hp-rear-axle-bar-outer-cv-upgrade

The Description says they are only for the OEM LSD axles, because the non LSD Axles use other splines on the inner side.

So my idea was, to use the OEM LDS Tripod bearings, with Evo Inner CV Cups on the Driveshaft Shop 650hp Axles.

The guys From DSS now mailed me, that this is not possible, because the shafts will not have the correct bar length if I’m using the Evo Rear Diff.

But I think some people did this before ?

Like seen on the photo.

Can someone confirm, that the LSD and Open Diff axles are different in lenght?

Can I use the 650hp bars with Evo Cups and Evo Clutch Type Rear Diff?

I hope someone can help me.

Best wishes

So from my knowledge. I did the write up on the 1g/gvr4 Evo diff install. The tri-bearings should be the same so you just need to swap the cup itself not the tri-bearing. The axle length should be the same its just the inner cups on the axles are different for LSD and Open diff. I explain some of it in my write up. I show the difference between a Evo inner cup and 4bolt LSD cup

I believe the the difference is on the driver's side inner cup which has a extra smaller splined section that reaches into the lsd viscious couple. The non-lsd cups are the same on both sides but some say have a slightly longer spline length by a mm of two. The drive shafts & outer ball joint cups should be the same on lsd & non-lsd 2G's. It's been a few years since I messed with mine.

I know about the differences on the inner cups.
But I need to make 100% sure that the Axlebar Lenght is the same between open and LSD Axles before purchasing the DSS Axles.

Im from Germany and the Shipping will be expensive like hell,
So I need to know if the DSS 650hp Axles fit my Evo Diff, before I place an order.
