I have been searching for hours for a master suspension bushing kit for a 1G with no success. I have found individual bushings but would prefer to buy the whole kit and save a little $. Anyone got a line on a master kit?

Having just done the bushing install for my front control arms I can say it was not that hard...if you burn out the smaller front bushings instead of using a press like the VFAQ does. The total job took me about four hours.

I have no experience with the rear however so it may be considerably more difficult. Can anyone lend some first hand experience with the rear bushing install on a 1g?

I installed the energy suspension bushings last summer. The hardest part was getting some of the frozen bolts off on the rear. The front and most of the rear was easy on mine.

When I was looking to replace the bushings on my 1G, I was also looking for a master kit like you can get for the 2G's. No such luck. I just ended up ordering each individual kit from Prostreetonline, and that worked out just fine. Just more part numbers to order, but you end up with everything you need.

You know, I would love to buy a set and install them but Im too worried about the damn sqeaking. I love the race car feel. Nice and tight and stiff. My rear camber kit and brakes sqeak like a mf and it drives me crazy; actually Im gonna work on that tomorrow...

Mine don't squeak at all, not yet anyway (keeping fingers crossed) :D
Laser4G63: I had to cut the eccentric bolts at the front of the trailing arms on mine, sounds exactly like you. What a bi*** that was! I went through quite a few sawzall blades.

If you have a friend with lift it's a whole lot easier. Determine which kit it what is pain. Definitely tightens car. Started job 9.00am n finished at11:00 pm.
